I would submit that a gerrymander by politicians saying fuck the voters and one by voters saying fuck the politicians are two wholly different animals

I'm very proud of the show Zack and I put together, it was a ton of fun, and I think the interviews were pretty solid, if I do say so myself!
I redrew the classic comic book spinner rack topper placard with Richie Rich, Spider-Man, Archie, and Superman. text reads "Comics Read One Today!!"

They did it, Joe.
This World Cup kerfuffle is so dumb tho. Nobody is going to the final who couldn't afford to buy a seat that cost 1000's of dollars, FIFA could care less about "the fans"
It is possible to park about a mile away and walk across a few highways to get to Met Life stadium, but I would not recommend. I did it once with my brother-in-law who goes to all the Giants games, so it was like I had a sherpa who could guide me down the various embankments and overpasses
Years ago @mikeduncan.bsky.social told me "you can rewrite shit but you can't rewrite nothing" and it's made every draft easier since.
There's a sense in which I respect the evangelical leaders who unhesitatingly lined up behind the idea that President Pedophile B. Antichrist, the libertine looting and burning the world every day, is god's manifestation on earth. You have to rework your brain and moral sense so much to get there.
Zohran Mamdani on CBS — “Socialist politics can flourish anywhere, because there is only one majority in this country, and that is the working class. It’s time we have a politics that puts them at the heart of what we’re doing, not in the appendix.”
America’s Mayor can’t miss.

At every screening of @thelibrariansfilm.bsky.social, people ask how they can stop book-banning. Besides voting, one of the most impactful things you can do is run for office. Never-mind that Ronald Reagan's entire project was the dismantlement of everything FDR achieved, actual policies are beside the point. What, do you actually *care* about politics? What a dillweed
When I was coming up, the conventional wisdom appeared to hold that the Three Best Presidents were FDR, JFK, and Ronald Reagan. Because my hobby is making sweeping generalizations like this, I think this helps explain Why Gen X Is The Way It Is.
it's never framed the opposite way: a candidate who might be more progressive than that particular electorate would normally be comfortable with, still won handily against a Republican, because people in this state *hate Donald Trump that much*
Seeing post election analysis observing that Analilia Mejia's margin of victory last night was smaller than other recent special elections, and of course this is framed as a problem for Democrats; that they have to be wary of nominating more progressive candidates...
NJ GOP is having an identity crisis/soft civil war. Do they nominated more centrist candidates and lose, or more MAGA candidates and lose bigger? They don't want to face the plain and simple truth: there's no future for the party in this State while Donald Trump remains it's national face
wouldn't mind several orders of magnitude more of this
I thought the World Cup final happening in our backyard would be cool but it turns out it sucks. No normal person can afford to attend and it’s going to be an infrastructure and travel nightmare to live through
I’m not watching/reading any of that interview with him, but I’m guessing he doesn’t do much in the way of personal self-reflection here? All the headlines I’ve seen just say he’s mad at Republicans for taking political advantage of the words he was putting out into the world
