This was a very strong entry, and the winner in our game design category. Though the game was short, the puzzles were creatively done and satisfying to solve. Puzzle design is not an easy thing to get right, and not only did this entry do that well it also did a nice job of incorporating the theme of control into the game’s core mechanic.
Each of the three characters have their own strengths and weaknesses, forcing the player to use them strategically and frequently switch between them in order to make progress. The final puzzle is slightly controversial, since it seems impossible to solve at first glance, but like many good puzzle platformers it requires the player to think outside of the box in order to solve. Overall the judges were highly impressed with this game, our only major criticism being with the control scheme. Using the arrow keys to move and then enter to attack felt unnatural to several of the judges. Even despite this, we all agreed that it was the most deserving of first place in this category. Ranked: 1st in Game Design, 10th in Player Experience, 4th in Asset Implementation
