I do wish more MTG players could distinguish between "thing I personally think is fun and interesting" and "actually powerful mechanic" because the amount of times I see people put new mediocre cards with the recent set gimmick into a deck and get surprised when the cards suck is surprisingly high

Cool writing and I am absolutely a sucker for more traditional fantasy settings even if the fantasy elements are fairly toned down like this

Yes it kinda looks like nightmares if you squint but the reason that card is good is combos, and that's kinda it

None of these other cards combo, to me they hardly even scratch playable in a more moderate EDH power level setting let alone banworthy

Cauldron of Essence being so high has to be a mistake, right? We've seen this card so many times already! It's historically been one of the most casual recursive animation effects out there, none of these have a CEDH playrate, I doubt they're even being run in almost any B4 decks for being too weak

Altar of Bhaal! Geth, Thane of Contracts! Cauldron of Eternity! Vat of Rebirth! Whip of Erebos, which gives the creature haste!
Hell's Caretaker even does the effect for free!!!
Whisper Blood Liturgist even, but for an extra creature instead of mana! So many nigh identical designs that NOBODY PLAYS

I think the reason I've seen very few popular romance anime (or romance media in general) is because I'll see that it's a straight romance (as it is about 95% of the time or so) and I'll go "ah, unfortunate" and then forget it exists

Watched the first episode of Kemonozume just now and honestly? Monstergirl sex episode 1 is pretty impressive for a 2006 anime, Masaaki Yuasa might be on point with this one, though I suppose one can expect as much from the Devilman Crybaby director

Will have to see how the rest of it turns out :3
