Perhaps he had a fever, and there was only one cure…
It’s why they’re building bunkers in their palatial compounds.
People who work or trade in the stock market generally speaking are not smart people and are *very* easily susceptible to hype even when historically it leads to literally nothing.
NASA isn't why the US doesn't have universal healthcare, or a social safety net. The US doesn't have those things because politicians with the power to provide them choose specifically not to (with varying levels of support from voters). Enthusiasm for human spaceflight doesn't drive that choice.
The biggest story in the world right now is that the president of the United States is a demented old man who takes pleasure in torturing and killing people and is committing crimes with impunity. And yet most legacy media outlets are too cowardly to tell it like it is.
The ‘man’ keeps saying the quiet parts out loud and no one does a thing about it and his cult still guzzle down on his orange shit spackled Kool Aid like it’s the elixir of the gods.
We truly are in the Biff as casino owner timeline.
Putin is the puppet master behind ALL OF IT and has been for a very long time.
Trump is just a useful idiot, his greed, vanity and ego are easily manipulated and his stupidity means he’ll never know he’s been played.
There’s still part of me that hopes for some sort of Star Wars land…though fully aware that’s very unlikely.
I would suspect it’ll likely be a Zootopia land (after both movies successes), replicating the Shanghai one.
I sure hope it’s not AI upscaling.
53 years ago today, the last U.S. combat troops left South Vietnam, ending America’s direct role in the Vietnam War.
I remember seeing this anti-war PSA back then. Its message is sadly still very relevant today as Trump drags us into another unpopular war.
I really enjoyed the original ending, but somehow the theatrically released ending retroactively makes the rest of the movie worse…if that makes any sense.
How does the multi-lingual aspect play out?
Is it jarring in person (Avengers: Flight Force) or do you acclimatise to it quickly (Phantom Manor)?
It cannot be overstated how important those entry level jobs that are being replaced by AI are for skill development.
Certainly helped me with Apple Music playlists, making them much more manageable lengths 🤣
Totally, and firmly agree. But always kind of look at those inbetween eras as transition eras.
Like the Bad Batch to the end of Andor “Reign of the Empire” with bits of PT slowly becoming more and more OT (pretty much all OT by Andor).
I kind of consider the Mandalorian’s time as a sort of transition era between the OT & the ST. With breadcrumbs, bits and pieces laid out for the future.
Though we really need more stories set during the 5 years before TFA & the year between TLJ & TRoS of the First Order taking the galaxy by force.
Every corrupt politician in the USA is doing insider trading RIGHT NOW to make millions of dollars off the bombing of children.
This is sadly an evergreen post.
All of those wonderful efficiencies that save them money and make share prices rise, that’s all that mattered.
…the hard work that went into the meal, the careful budgeting to make sure we all get something to eat. I tell them it’ll make me sick, they get ‘huffy’ I end up with nothing or eating around what I can’t.
Not the same scale as a parent being separated from a kid, but highlights they don’t care.
My sister is gluten free, we book a special meal for her when we fly together. But I often get given a gluten free meal too (which I never order and is always their error). But, I have allergies to many of the gluten free alternatives and get sick. Raise it with the airlines and I get told about…
It’s because they don’t see us as living, thinking, feeling beings, instead we’re a series of statistics and data metrics.
They don’t understand or care that your kids was 5 or any of the things associated with that. What they do see is money changed hands for a seat, any seat, that’s it.
Ditto, though with elderly parents/grandparents and with Emirates and Virgin Atlantic.
Three large airline companies own all the other smaller ones, so they’re all a bit shit and don’t care as even if you are able to use another company, they’ll ultimately get the money anyways.
The whole score is sublime.
I love the Crimson Dawn theme too.
NEW: This new report, from BBC, is the best takedown of the insanity of Trump you will see anywhere.
Calm, coherent and repeating only Trump’s own words. Devastating.
Brilliant work once again from Roz Atkins.
