For very fine tips you want a Japanese fountain pen. Pilot is my favorite Japanese brand and you should look for an EF nib.

What size nib? Would a finer nib make it easier? Or a more dry ink?

As a lefty, the ink is more important than the pen, IMO. I would focus on a pen with a fine nib paired with a quick drying ink (and maybe good paper as well)

May I suggest a traveling inkwell. I travel a lot and it’s the only way I can keep pens inked. I use a Visconti, but there are a couple on the market.
