I'm okay, you?
Can't blame you for finding a bit of sanctuary on here - I can't even dip my toes back into t'other place. Not until I get my Hazmat suit back from the dry-cleaners, at least.

IIRC, it was right next to the job centre.
Probably gone now, but there was a wee Afghan café in Rusholme, and the nan breads were worth a visit alone. I'd probably have been happy with just one of those!
Yeah, tis true. I don't miss Manchester, but I do miss the South. Lived in Rusholme for YEARS.
If it's curry you're after, city centre all the way. I know most people say This n' That, but they're wrong - Kabana is the one. I hear there's a great little place somewhere near the science museum, as well.
Also, the Thai café next to the Great Northern Warehouse - *chef's kiss*
Wouldn't bother with Rusholme, unless it's improved in the last decade or two - but it was heading in the opposite direction when I left.
I'd be inclined to give Levy a try.
Today is #TransDayOfVisibility 🏳️⚧️
Sending love, strength and solidarity to all trans people .
Visibility isn’t always easy, it’s not always safe, but today we honour those who are visible and those who can’t be.

Any Longley Farms fans out there? Bit niche perhaps, but once you've had one of their fruit yoghurts...
"woke orthodoxy"
Where to start with that?! Bless his cotton socks.
Guess that describes me. Seems very political on here (at least on my feed), which is no bad thing - but I also want discussions about films and gochujang!
No, it's not quite the same - mostly a blessing, but sometimes a curse!
Definitely missing a few familiar faces, whether they've not moved over or don't post - I don't know.
Ah, should've been clearer - I meant I've not really found my feet here on Bluesky yet - how to approach it, what to post etc.
Been a tough 2025, but hanging on in there!
Not spending much time on here - not really found my feet yet - and I've washed my hands of the "other place". Miss the people, but it's just a cesspit and morally, I can't carry on using it.
You well, mate?
'Eyup, Snowy!
Bought some honey! 4 parts honey to 1 part Gochujang, apparently.
Hope you're well, my friend.

BLACK.
THEY MEAN BLACK.
Hot gochujang honey, you say?
Now there's an idea! Will buy some more honey later.
It's the sequel to Battle Royale that I'm desperate to see.
My football team haven't scored a single goal at home in 2025.
Got to laugh, haven't you?
No, the meeting did not go badly for Ukraine. It exposed in the most undeniable, unequivocal way possible the pro-Putin commitments of the president and vice president. That was information Americans and allies needed to have clear before them.
I realised just after I posted - shows how well I listen!

I struggle to get into Rugby League, let alone Union - but I'll always make time for the Calcutta Cup.
Love Scotland with a passion, but when it comes to sport - it's a different story! All good natured, though.

If I were Canadian PM I would immediately:
1. Create a new $15B science fund
2. Offer any credentialed US scientist funding for lab startup and replacement of NIH grants if they move to Canada
3. Immediate permanent residency
4. Citizenship after 2 years
