If it were flipped and men made up 80% of chronic illnesses, instead of women, we’d have a lot more cures and support systems by now 🫠

Coming out is mostly a formality that exists for straight people who assume being straight is the default. Queer people don’t need to ‘announce’ their identity for it to be valid—just existing as themselves is enough.
From an autoimmune girlie, I really need people to try to understand that treatment & medication does not equal curing the condition.
Apparently a bunch of straight men are now shaving off their eyelashes to appear less “feminine” 💀
An apple a day won’t keep the doctor away. But a complex chronic illness sure will.
Texas layed off all Department of Education employees in Dallas AND introduced a bill that will make evictions easier. So they can lay you off and make it easier to kick you out of your home. I HATE IT HERE.
Do I think doctors have all the answers? No. Do I think people with no medical training should be coaching people on their health? Absolutely not.

The idea that you can “cleanse” yourself of any disease or ailments and be renewed is based in evangelical principles and fascism btw and is also abelsit af
Masking to protect myself as an immunocompromised person shouldn’t be remotely political
a quote from pedro pascal that reads: "i can't think of anything more vile and small and pathetic than terrorising the smallest, most vulnerable community of people who want nothing from you but the right to exist".

I hate that society would rather talk about how chronic illness effects women’s physical appearance instead of focusing on the fact that someone is suffering. Makes me sick.
Can we finally learn the lesson of not commenting on people’s appearance?? Michelle Trachtenberg was going through a liver transplant and people were leaving her horrible comments about her appearance and claiming she was on drugs. Now she’s no longer with us.
Every time I’m sad I remember that we’re getting a new Hunger Games book and movie
Selena Gomez may not see you say horrible things about her Lupus but your chronically ill friends sure will
I want to give Aubrey Plaza the biggest hug. And I don’t even mean it in a parasocial way, I want to give everyone going through suicide loss a hug 🫂
While we’re having mental health conversations, let’s stop using lobotomies as quirky little jokes. Lobotomies were used to torture minorities and the sick and disabled. It’s not a punchline for your social media post. If you don’t know the history, please educate yourself.
This simple phrase can save your life when a doctor is refusing care. “I want you to note that down in my chart.” They’ll often backtrack bc once refusal of care/ testing is notated it becomes a legal liability for them.
The dude bros are sooo weird
Some dude bro told me I’m a liar and don’t have adhd so I asked if they wanted my doctor’s number so they could call and tell them since he’s the expert apparently 🤣
America has one of the highest rates of chronically ill women in the world. Something needs to change.
Blood pressure was high but better now! Thanks for asking 🙏
I was literally on the way to the ER the other day and I still paused and screamed “EW GROSS” when a cyber truck passed by. Priorities.
The audacity that men have to gaslight us when it comes to chronic illness when they act like THAT during a cold
You go 👏👏
Leaving the World Health Organization, repealing the cap on pharmaceutical drugs. I’m so scared and devastated for my chronic illness and disability community.
This country is so embarrassing
Don’t forget all of this TikTok news is meant to distract you from massive ICE raids and deportations on Tuesday 🚨
