Oh, you have so much to look forward to. Moue is only warmimg up with his techniques at this point.
From around chapter 100 onwards it feels like he goes into a new gear and doesnt look back.
I didnt know that you read Akane-Banashi.
Amazing stuff. Probably the most inventive and nuanced visual storytelling released by a major publisher!
Despite having to leave a little early due to car issues, I had a great time at my 1st Eastercon.
I got to listen to some enlightening panels and interviews, including asking some questions.
I had some brief but friendly chats and I also came away with lots of books & book recs.
Not knitting, but I'll often close my eyes when listening to discussions to help me focus.
As someone in the audience, K1's English was clear and quite easy to listen to.
Cervical neck issues that were spotted by an annual doctor check that DDT does for performers.
Simply put, everytime he wrestled he would be at high risk for serious neck issues. Its why he retired without having a retirement match

Ive enjoyed it so far. It's a different experience to something like Thought Bubble (my main comparison from a personal perspective) which was a lot more claustrophobic and more about browsing peoples collective wares rather than listening to different perspectives.
Thank you for the kind offer but I was already trying to decide between 3 options for that time slot. ;)
I hope you enjoy the weekend as well.
Well, today will be a new experience:
Im at Eastercon. First time attending a scifi/fantasy convention.
I often worry that my reading comprehension (and sense of taste) isn't great, as I sometimes find myself skimming. Which is not great when you think you have aphantasia so I can't visualise what I read anyway.
Then I see things like this and don't feel as self critical.
Dozens of family run companies that for generations provided TV shows with evil beards for their alt-universe episodes now ruined, forced to offload their stock in a fire sale to prospective Republican politicians
This month on Discworld Order, @sarahparkin1.bsky.social returns to discuss Carpe Jugulum.
It's our longest episode as we chat about Granny Weatherwax, vampires, AND the Witches novels in general.

So its probably a sign of me being a really lazy singleton, but I've already read 500 pages this weekend and theres a chance that I could finish reading a 670 page novel in 2 days.

I think most modern death matches fall into the CZW trap of being about what happens, and not the drama and anticipation of GETTING to what happens.
Akito vs ASUKA (Veny) & Ken Ohka vs Takashi Sasaki (yes, really) are great examples of the FMW approach in the last decade.
As stupid as it sounds considering the barbed wire and the explosions, Funk vs Onita is a perfect example of minimalism.
It uses looks, selling and simple holds to get you invested.
Funk was a genius with how he would add a little sell or a little stumble whenever the crowd were quiet in this.

A signed hardback copy of Adrian Tchaikovsky's Children of Strife on a black salter electronic kitchen scales. The reading says 971g. The scales are on a dark green place mat with gold palm trees. The place mat is on an Orange table cloth.
I should not be surprised how heavy this is.
And yet, I am still surprised by how heavy this is.
I definitely wont be reading @aptshadow.bsky.social 's latest while walking around the office's overflow car park on my lunch break...
