In my mind, they each get a book but it's less Avon historical romance and more Little Miss box set.

I like to think Violet came by the Bridgerton naming convention honestly and she's got 21 older brothers and sisters.

loved Cleat Cute, liked Legends and Latte, I don't know the L.O.V.E. Club! I'm trying to finish ONE more book before the year is over so I picked back up A/S/L by Jeanne Thornton. Not very far in but you might like!

I never ask for anything for my birthday, asked for this print one year, led to fighting between family members over who would get it, birthday spent awash in recriminations, NO REGRETS, so much joy whenever I see it on my wall

Oh man, if the library locked you out for high usage, I'd be on a list for sure!

yeah, I've never wanted a book that wasn't there. The only exception is Kindle Unlimited exclusive ebooks but every big 5 and indie publisher I can think of is on there.

(sorry, that software I mentioned is Koreader, no Kobo reader)

Tell me if you have more questions! I was nervous to make the switch for a long time but I've been very happy.

(like triple tap on device and it will automatically raise brightness to certain level) but I haven't tried that out yet. And it feels nicer in the hand than my Kindle did. I bought the Colour because it's the only one with buttons but they have lots of models so prob a similar one to PW?

I don't know how far you go with organizing your books but if you use Calibre, you can organize and tag your books on your computer and that carries over to the Kobo, which is AMAZING and something I always wanted with the Kindle. Plus there is something called Koboreader which lets you set gestures

You can buy books on the Kobo site and they DL wirelessly, same as Amazon/Kindle. It's a lot faster than my Kindle which used to refuse to load my library books no matter how many times I tapped. I've been surprised to see the books are just...there! No tapping!

One GIANT caveat is that it only lets you connect one card at a time so if you have multiple library cards, you have to log out and into a different account every time you want to read a book from a different lib. They apparently used to allow multiple cards so I'm hoping they change that back.

Formatting is totally fine and the library has been seamless. You go into settings on the Kobo and connect your card and it downloads wirelessly (including the books i had checked out as Kindle, weirdly).

Is this still relevant for you? Because I feared making the switch for a long time but I finally did it in January and have loved Kobo. Would go into more detail if you're still wondering.

"Italians have bowls" - this made me laugh bc MY (specific, non-platonic) nonna from Italy did all baking this way & we used to tease her that Italy hadn't invented bowls yet. She used her hand instead of a whisk, was flawless. I'm terrible at it, bowls are definitely easier, but I sometimes still
