The amount of coworkers I have, who will come in sick with whatever supermeasels their kids pick up will never cease to amaze me.

After COVID, you can’t claim ignorance, it’s a choice.

I think this was true for many of us. We now love remote/hybrid work, go to the movies less, etc.

But the people who hated COVID also changed. They developed a kind of pathological selfishness. They learned to do whatever tf they want, even if it will sicken and kill people.

What I think is amazing is the number of people who lived through all of this, and will still show up to work with “oh it’s just allergies I hope,”

Which then becomes “oh, my daughter had a cold last week” and then suddenly the team is behind on their deadlines and everyone is sick 🙄

The pandemic was easier if you were naturally introverted. American culture places importance on being outgoing and “up.” It can be stressful.
