I just checked in at the Atlanta airport and the kiosk wanted me to show a "passport or permanent residence card."
The airline rep who was helping me said "I don't know why it's doing this it's been doing it all morning."

6. Kolaches (2009) pg. 133 These are some weird cookies - but tasty!

January books read
(2/2) Did I still *somehow* salvage this and end up with actual and tasty cookies? I did. But it’s not a method I’d want to try to replicate even if it turned out to be better than the original, which I seriously doubt.
5. Persian Molasses Crinkles (2009) pg. 94 - I’m going to remake this one using pomegranate molasses because the included “make your own” recipe had me make a pomegranate molasses taffy which l, when added to creamed butter and it sugar turned into…a stringy, greasy mess. (1/2)

3. Kossuth Kifli (2003) pg. 184- I followed the instructions as best I could but this is cake. Good lemon snack cake but not a cookie.
4. Taffy Treats (2003 Winner) - very sweet, kind of messy but definitely has a cookie component!
Baking my way through this cookbook in no particular order:
1. Snowball Clippers (2011) pg 102. So good! 4 oz of chocolate for dipping is not enough.
2. French-Swiss Butter Cookies (2009) pg. 63. Excellent with tea. They have no leavening! I did add a bit of salt.

I fear no quantity of tea, no matter how excellent, is likely to be able to compensate for this “new ‘normal’” that is 2025.
The system works!
Of course as a Lab mix, he still has several more years of “puppy” playfulness and a lifetime of puppy cuteness!
He’s so cute and puppyish!
I read this one because I had no audio books queued up and it was in Libby’s “available now” list. Little did I know it was first in a series. It’s kind of a fantasy/romance genre mashup with basically zero of what they call “spice,” at least in book 1.
And WTF Wednesdays?
I guess this might be a bit of a regular thing.
You can pick your snow giant…
Ooh- I don’t like that I can’t edit “Me thinks” to “Methinks” now that it’s posted. Or at least thar I don’t know how to.
Me thinks a certain Benedictine monk doth protest too much!
This is lovely!
