accidentally had two caffeinated coffees this morning.
Perhaps I will be still awake at 2 am in the morning. Maybe I’ll hear the Milkman delivering. Who is still getting Milkman delivery? We have three per week

An ironic photograph of a notebook where painted letters state “not everything that matters can be written down”
A picture two silhouette of Hands. Between them or pieces of Post-it notes, woven together.
Another wonderful day at Durham University with a participatory research network. Two overwhelmed to reflect on it right now, but wanted to share these images.
A lovely town in south west Scotland. In the county of Dumfries and Galloway. Might be too far to go for a dry though 😅
Dumfries swimming pool used to have a giant person dryer. A large box a family of 4 could stand in. Hot air would dry you in about 2 minutes. It was glorious.

Pope Leo XIV @Pontifex X.com #ArtificialIntelligence systems increasingly shape and permeate our mentality and social environments. Like every great historical transformation, this too calls not only for technical competence, but also for a humanistic formation capable of making visible the logic behind economics, embedded biases and forms of power that shape our perception of reality. 1:31 PM • 4/17/26 • 91K Views
Pope Leo XIV @Pontifex X.com Within digital environments — structured to persuade — interaction is optimized to the point of rendering a real encounter superfluous; the otherness of persons in the flesh is neutralized, and relationships are reduced to functional responses. Dear friends, you, however, are real persons! Creation itself has a body, a breath, a life to be listened to and safeguarded. 1:31 PM • 4/17/26 • 209K Views
Pope Leo XIV @Pontifex X.com When simulation becomes the norm, it weakens the human capacity for discernment. As a result, our social bonds close in upon themselves, forming self-referential circuits that no longer expose us to reality. We thus come to live within bubbles, impermeable to one another. Feeling threatened by anyone who is different, we grow unaccustomed to encounter and dialogue. In this way, polarization, conflict, fear and violence spread. What is at stake is not merely the risk of error, but a transformation in our very relationship with truth. 1:31 PM • 4/17/26 • 696K Views

This Solidarity Social will take place during the current exhibition - For Solidarity x Document H.E.T. The pre-internet printed pamphlets, journals and directories used by grassroots movements to share ideas and news, will form a backdrop to the evening. #Shieldfield #Solidarity
On 30 April, 6–8pm, there’ll be shared food, short provocations and conversations with organisers and groups building solidarity economies in new ways. We are stronger together - through these socials, people can connect with others whilst eating delicious locally cooked vegan food.
If you're part of a grassroots initiative supporting the solidarity economy, or are interested in community organising and art in social movements join the Solidarity Social at The NewBridgeProject to meet like-minded people

Yesterday I threw out what I had planned for my AI & Society class and we spent the whole time on this. I had them choose some of Husk's videos to watch (www.youtube.com/@HuskIRL/sho...) and then tasked them with explaining WHY the funny outcomes are happening - i.e. a lesson about how LLMs work.
Ooh thanks. Yes. I have some of that in my mix but will try this one. That you.
Thank you. I’ll give it a try on Friday!
Which are your favourites? I wonder if I’d get too emotional 🥹like I do when I listen to Mendelssohn
Thank you. I’m also so inspired by what you share x

Yes. Amelie is a favourite. I also like the severance soundtrack
Oh thanks. I'm a lofi girl person normally but will check these out! Thank you
#AcademicSky #PhDSky, I am growing weary of some of the lofi sound tracks I listen to in writing sprints. What do you listen to in focus time? I can't do lyrics, love world music & unusual instruments. I'd like both upbeat morning tracks (that's when I have my energy) & gentle/chill afternoon vibes
Though all must suffer loss and grief ... time is kind and brings relief...
The passing of the healing years, mends the hurt and dries the tears.
At first... hearts break and sorrow numbs.
No word consoles, no comfort comes... but slowly to the quiet mind...
Life comes back, for time is kind.
Sending you all love. May peaceful light hearts be soon with you once again. A poem that has helped me many times:
Confidence isn’t thinking you’ll succeed, it’s knowing you’ll survive if you don’t
