Ok I do have something to offer. I took paid leave under FMLA, if you don’t have that in your state unpaid still might be an option. I took paid leave to care for my dying mom, did unpaid longer to keep my benefits, then quit. If you haven’t given notice yet now is when you look into FMLA

Tunxis Grill in Windsor is good, so is Oakland Pizza in S Windsor. Little City Pizza in Avon is fab but a bit out of the way. Honestly if you don’t mind a little ride, West Hartford has a bunch. Zephyr Street, Luna, Savoy, Sparrow, Harry’s. Ped-friendly area with lots of bars/restaurants/shops

They had full shelves but nothing with basic ingredients. Everything is processed crap with corn syrup or stabilizers or full of cookie dough and pretzels. I wanted basic turkey hill or tillamook or brighams chocolate chip. Gonna try another store today. Or a local dairy $$$

Yesterday in the grocery store I was looking for chocolate chip ice cream and all they had was ‘vanilla flavored’ dairy product or ‘chocolate flavored’ chips. Enough with the guar gum goop with too many mix ins, bring back the simple flavors like rocky road, neapolitan, and coffee
