There hear their dying shrieks ! their dying cries,
(Though but a few) before they clos'd their eyes !
Before the living took the dead away,
Those barb'rous monsters pierc'd them as they lay.

You may be using Outlook but have you email server elsewhere, in which case your email may not have been affected.

This is about Outlook’s Exchange servers, not the email client. I sent a bunch of emails out, but I don’t think they actually got sent. Sent several test emails to my Gmail account over the course of the day that were never delivered.

Tough questioning? More like self-serving statements dressed up as questions. I seriously doubt that he’ll face anything that a lawyer would think of as “tough questioning.“

And yet here we are.

Yes, but McCain's selection of Sarah Palin as his VP really pushed us toward the clown show we have now.

Looks like the Duolingo Owl after you've missed two days of practice in a row.

And, of course, we'll be on our own, because our allies have realized that they can't share their own intel with us any more.

After a healthy dose of schadenfreude today, it's still nice to do a timeline cleanse. You're welcome.

Clearly someone does not understand the scope of design patents (whether that's the applicant, counsel or both I won't speculate).

Looks like the whole thing is in dashed lines. What part of that mess are they actually claiming?

Meta "battles" the epidemic? Wishful thinking by the headline writer. Sounds like end-stage enshittification to me. Fraud isn't really a problem for Meta if it's still making money.

Two guesses who the dissenters are. Fun fact: neither one was appointed by the current President.

Unless you’re Orthodox; then it falls a week later, on the 12th. #alsosatire.

Both these guys could really use some help from @dieworkwear.bsky.social (not that they’d take it).

And, of course, the world learned that the US is a wholly unreliable trading partner.

And if they ship you out of the country they will tell the courts that they don't have jurisdiction over you so the court can't order them to bring you back.

Shades of Lemelson! That's one heck of a submarine patent.

I tried to look up the patent but the continuation/division history is so long it was cut off. Probably goes all the way back to one of Apple's original applications on the iPhone (2007?). Anyhow, the term should be 15 years from grant, right?

This reminds me of discussions about “warmedies” (light dramas)that were popular in the 70s and 80s. I think it was definitely helpful to the shows when they had to deal with a more serious event occasionally (the death of Dick van Patten’s wife in Eight is Enough comes to mind).

It's already been disclosed to the Atlantic. Sounds like they won't be breaking any laws if they just print the whole thing.

No hate here. We got an induction cooktop when our old Jenn-Air basically fell apart a few months ago and we love it. Works great with my old cast iron frying pan.
