Lovely day of thrifting with @frankmakesstuff.bsky.social with stops at a Wendy’s sunroom and H-Mart where I won my first crane game and bought Hello Kitty toilet paper. Then later there was special guest appearance by @theluckyorange.bsky.social who joined us for dinner at Pizza Hut 😝
That was my impetus to really diving into being a parks fan in 2014, my return visit to WDW since I was 10. So much remained, and in great condition, from my old VHS tapes I used to watch. I thought some things would just stay around forever, and I'm bummed that I was wrong about that.
Feel better soon, speedy recovery!
Yesterday I went to Epic Universe for the first time! I will be back someday, once they unveil their AP plan. Terrific park, absolutely amazing. Stardust Racers is such a next-level coaster, I can't stop thinking about it.
Everybody should refrain from buying Disney-branded Pride merchandise or attending Disney Pride events from here on out — building a resort in a place that is so decidedly anti-LGBTQ shows who they really are as a company. The values they claim are not the reality. Shame on #BobIger
There’s not enough Great Mouse Detective merch.
I'm afraid Recycling the Magic has been picked clean of the good stuff. All that really remains is ephemera or REALLY expensive one-off props and wall art used in the parks.
Embroidery pattern in progress of Living With The Land at Epcot, Walt Disney World
Leaves and plants, and plants and leaves 🪡🧵 #embroidery #dissky
New device!! Bad news, it doesn't work (and it's missing keys) good news, it SORTA works, which might be enough to do a few repairs on the inside to bring it back into full operation. We'll see what happens.
Got a new sticker for the ol' jalopy.
I know what you mean! The next best thing is the "in-between" times when there isn't a festival, because they still play the EPCOT 40th Anniversary light show which includes Tapestry of Nations, Horizons, Listen to the Land, Veggie Veggie Fruit Fruit, and We Go On is the finalé. I love it so much.
Did You Know: The traditional Spaceship Earth light wash is used at dusk, right before the first Points of Light show plays - after which, the LEDs will be lit for the rest of the evening.
Really excited for tomorrow because I get to be a 90s kid, go to the mall, watch a Looney Tunes movie, and have lunch in the food court.
Spent all weekend (I'm off Tues and Wed) doing house things, rearranging the furniture, finding new spots to put antiques, cleaning, making it the most optimal living space for someone like me. And now I have to go to work again, so. 👍👍👍👍
Ahhh just now learning that Geoff Tate hasn't been in the band since 2012... 😔
Attn fellow geriatric elder Millenials who also frequent thrift shops and antique stores: Bissell has been listening to us and not only make quality products, donate to animal rescue funds, but have now finally started designing their products in gorgeous drab olive green. Swoooon.
Is there anything in particular anyone would like to see at MK today? I tend to just do the same old stuff so it would be lovely to seek out something different!
Skyliner Phase 2, maybe?
Heading out to Magic Kingdom today!!! 🏰 🚝 🎩 ✨️
And now, a thing about neon: Pure neon gives a regular reddish-orange hue, like a standard "OPEN" sign. For shopping malls/arcades, pink is usually helium, and blue is argon with a bit of mercury vapor.
Ohh, that poor poor Attraction. It was so majestic when it was whole and complete. :(
Whoops, I went ahead and watched some Horizons on-ride footage and made myself sad
I need to be in the habit of posting more-often here, I am deeply sorry. Here, have some EPCOT. :)
