As an LCSW in private practice this seems spot on. Unfortunately, many people who are highly sensitive learned in childhood that their sensitivity was the problem and they just had to toughen up.

Personally, I feel completely powerless.

The tide will not turn until there is a mass swell of people making noise on multiple fronts (reaching out to elected officials, coming to protests, boycotts, etc.)--and if a sizable portion of those people are part of the Republican base.

It genuinely hurts my earnest Gen X heart that organizations such as Fox News not only allow their guests to lie, but also don't make any effort whatsoever to offer context or correct misinformation.

Aren't there journalistic ethical codes that news organizations are required to follow?

A humble query for anyone who knows how to do stuff right:

I made this stone 'river' in the yard a few years ago, but can't ever seem to finish it because it needs a lot of maintenance. The issue is that the rocks get knocked loose quite easily, even when set in grout.
