Hullo again! It's been a minute. Outside of being busy with college, I've found myself wanting to write stories for the New Railway Series that come much later than the timeline I've established. Would it be a bad decision to just start writing stories that I'm passionate about despite that?

You have been given the task of creating a new hour long Thomas special.
It needs to take place around a new location on Sodor, have at least four or five brand new characters, one or two returnees, and an interesting and fun plot/general theme.
GO!
Edward and BoCo would likely be the protagonists, sharing the spotlight with Thomas (because ofc he's in this), and I'd like to incorporate Stafford into the plot too somehow. Perhaps he forms a friendship with Euan and inadvertently turns him against Eleanor. Who's to say. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
BoCo would be the token returnee; he and Edward would be unrattled by Eleanor's sabotage, and through intel slipped by Euan, they would mediate the conflict and urge cooperation between the steamies and diesels. (Freddie could also work as the aluminium works shunter, but he serves little purpose.)
The twins, Ellie and Elvis are manipulated into going along with her plans of sabotage, but Euan is wise to her scheme and warns the engines. For the first time, steamies and diesels unite to face a common enemy, who learns the error of her ways and learns the value of different types of engines.
The Electric Railway (Inspired by Mainland Studios).
A new power station is opening on an old branch line, which will be receiving a new fleet of electric engines: Ellie, Elvis, Euan, and Eleanor. Eleanor is obsessed with electrification and seeks to rid the island of all other types of engines.

A more tense and on-edge kind of persona. He's fresh from the scrapyard and desperate to prove himself worth of being a Fat Controller’s Engine. Because of this, I imagine he's a bit of an overthinker and takes on more work than he's capable of handling.
