“The War Department is once again restoring freedom to our Joint Force.
We are discarding the mandatory flu vaccine requirement, effective immediately.”
Below there is a video of the announcement for his many, many illiterate fans

Behind Hegseth’s big stupid face, a painting can be seen.

The painting is of George Washington crossing the Delaware. It is by Emanuel Leutze.

An article from the National Parks Service: Smallpox,
Inoculation, and the Revolutionary War
Boston National Historical Park
During the 1700s, smallpox raged through the American colonies and the Continental Army. Smallpox impacted the Continental Army severely during the Revolutionary War, so much so that George Washington mandated inoculation for all Continental soldiers in 1777. Just fifty-six years earlier, in 1721, Bostonian doctors and clergy introduced the procedure to the American colonies.
Without the vision and determination of these early Bostonians in normalizing inoculation, Washington may not have made the decision to mandate inoculation for the Continental Army. Though it was a controversial action, many historians credit the medical mandate with the colonists' victory in the Revolutionary War and the creation of the United States of America.

Imagine telling most of the famous historical generals that you had the means to ensure they *didn't* lose much of their fighting force to disease, but simply won't be using it

4 Screenshots from the movie "The Fog" (1980): First, an older man in a sailor's cap sits by a campfire on a beach at night, telling a story to children seated around the fire; subtitle reads, "One hundred years ago, on the 21st of April...". Second, the same scene continues with the fire casting dramatic shadows on the storyteller’s face and subtitle reads, "out on the waters around Spivey Point...". Third, the fire burns brightly in the center as the man gestures while speaking; subtitle reads, "a small clipper ship drew toward land." Fourth, a close-up of the man’s face illuminated by the firelight as he stares intensely; subtitle reads, "Suddenly, out of the night, the fog rolled in."

I'm not joking when I say mRNA technology is more important than "AI" and it's a tragedy we're throwing billions into one while our government is aggressively defunding the other.

Just sobbed hardest I have since my mom died in 2020.

She missed these trials by a few months.

One of most ruthless cancers. Hard to fathom that maybe she'd still be here.

I feel such a hole inside.

In case you're wondering if we should fund mRNA research instead of another stupid war ... yes.

On top of reasons of role deconstruction and bodily autonomy, this is one reason why it's so important to many people in power to eradicate trans folk.
