Important evidence of autism in the ancient world
In fact, Trump actually did say this out in public, on the Monday before the vote, and that helped drive turnout in favor of the referendum:

He's a liar and a killer. I don't know what else to tell people, he's a rich eugenicist, he wants as many poor people as possible to die in the name of 'health.' He's a genuinely and uniquely malign figure in American life and his appointment was an act of violence
A thing about the heaviest users of chatbots is that they acclimate to cloying obsequiousness. Like a billionaire and their entourage of viziers, it becomes normal to them.
Any interaction that is *not* abject simpering they'll now perceive as a slap to the face, an aggressively violent outburst.
There’s some striking similarities between Führerprinzip and unitary executive theory in that they are the same
At least Nixon had the tiniest amount of shame and knew he had to keep it secret. Now they shout it out to the media.
I agree with the overall thesis, but a brief comment on the third image:
if you are a magician at another magician's show, you don't stand up and shout "I could have done that differently." If you think you know what the other magician is doing, and you get it wrong, but like your idea: it's yours.
(post from asimovsideburns) Klingon therapist: the battle against mental illness cannot be won decisively. It is a long campaign against an enemy who never tires, whose forces swell to twice their size whenever you look away. Battle against a foe of such magnitude, who occupies your very mind... Every moment you survive is a triumph against all odds. There is no more honorable combat
it would be *committed to the bit* whether or not you gave it an image file. it would just have more material to accord its genre-performance with and the user would have more shared-basis on which to recieve that performance
what jumps out at me in this paper is the idea that "mirage" reasoning is attached to an internal (and incorrect) "epistemic frame." i think this analysis is misguided. what the LLM is doing shouldnt be understood as an "incorrect judgement." it should be understood as *commitment to the bit*.
it's possible to build a container for an LLM where it accepts that a given answer set may collapse to zero, but its tedious and kind of a pain because you are working against the tendancies of the system's own logics, which are fundamentally assortive genre groupings and reinforcements
conforming to the genre is *more central* to the performance than *answering the specific question,* which may diverge from the expected genre. the genre of "radiologist analyzing an x-ray" does not usually contain "there is no available file to analyze" thus that answer is not typically available.
hello hi yes so this makes sense when you understand that the sucess condition for an LLM is the production of a text-base, genre-bound performance of a plausible and acceptable answer to a given question. the question defines the expected genre.
Before she was murdered, Amal Khalil was sent a threat on WhatsApp by somebody with an Israeli number.
Journalist Jeremy Loffredo then reached out to that number and the individual was unsurprisingly unapologetic about murdering journalists.
also, think about how many things voters on the left have been told to give up hoping for
universal healthcare? pipe dream. cutting funding for the military or law enforcement? non-starter. defending trans rights? distraction! codifying reproductive rights? unfeasible!
what's left to vote FOR?
They were payed a lot of money. Why are we pretending there is any other motivation behind this. Fuck these sell out losers
White people know exactly what reparations are and how to give them to themselves 😡 😡 😡 😡 😡 😡
why would you use a language model to process imaging...
At the Davos conference not too long ago Trump stressed the importance of world leaders lying to their public in order to maintain their economic growth through optimistic deceit.
Since, he has lied continuously while playing the ai driven models of the market to reap ungodly profits on inside info.
less than a week ago the president told the world the strait of hormuz had been reopened and would never close again in the history of the planet
A screen shot of a skeet from Merriam-Webster that reads - ‘SWIMS’ upside down is still ‘SWIMS’. With a reply that reads - if you love geometric fonts where this would be true so much then why don't you use them in your body copy? no? not readable? go FUCK yourself; dictionary. they should call you hypocrictionary
I’m sorry, but bluesky is THRIVING…
The thing is that this has been true for a long time. Thinking that liberal arts degrees are impractical is received wisdom that collapses under the slightest scrutiny. This claim is only "counterintuitive" if you have bad intuition about higher ed, and, accidentally and on purpose, most people do.
Just like "criminal" and "law-abiding citizen" for right-wingers in general
The second they said obesity was a comorbidity this cake was baked
this of course is just a slightly updated vision of eugenics
if you are "sick" — which, again for RFK is a function of race, class and perceived purity — then there is nothing you can do in the face of disease and death, you are destined to succumb. the upshot either way is we do not need vaccines or most modern medical interventions.
if you are "healthy" — which appears to be a function of race, class and the purity of your body, as defined by what you eat and drink — then you cannot be truly sick and you do not need modern medicine.
the way this makes sense for RFK is that "healthy people" and "sick people" are ontological categories.
