I'll say it straight: you can't voluntarily and willingly use LLMs in a way that's aligned with respect for marginalized folks, with respect for the environment, with respect for labor issues and rights, with respect for art, and with respect for the community aspects of things like open source.
BUT WE DO KNOW IT WAS US THAT SCORCHED THE SKY LIKE HAVEN'T YOU SEEN THE MATRIX? OPEN YOUR EYES SHEEPLE
Chemtrail folks getting really antsy about the move to solar energy out of fear thay the government will block the sun
we all know I have no life, so:
"Much to think about" but what I'm thinking about is mostly fictional characters kissing and if lettuce on a burger counts as a serving of vegetables
For live blending are you thinking, like, a fader control?
Box art for Moon Child, with a green elf in red pajamas running and smiling across construction girders. Blurbs say "I another time, in another place, a green elf is sent by the moon to protect the planet Utopia. They call him Moon Child. Danger threatens. One night..." and " Moon Child combines the thrill of classic gameplay with state-of-the-art graphics and technology"
Can we make every Monday a Moon Child Monday I think that would help
Blowing the budget on an hour and half long vfx sequence thatβs just silver surfer surfing on lava and nebula clouds in space set to a DJ mix and making billions
She could be the next lofi study girl but marvel are cowards
I do not understand why you would have a movie with the Silver Surfer surfing on space lava and nebula clouds and only spend maybe 15 minutes on that. Should that not just be most of the movie?
It's all just varying tips and preferences that are all normal and fine and I'm losing my mind at the audacity of them like I'm the Iron Chef Potatoes
I did not realize how much of a mashed potato snob I was until reading the replies
I know my filter bubble is good because I saw Birdbrain only has 28 million views and thought "what the fuck, everyone was feral for that song weren't they? It should be 4x that"
"Is Paper Mario an HD-2D game?" said casually in the #videogames channel of a Discord server I hate

I should not need to be threatened with a 3am alert to care about making sure 3am alerts don't happen. Mandatory on-call is a failure of incentives on the part of your management.
Handling oncall incidents is a different skillset from building software and making engineers be on oncall rotations just so they actually care about the stability of what they make is a culture failure.
Either 1pass OR the OS OR the website could address the stuff above. It doesn't really matter whether vendors have agreed whose responsibility it is; the experience is mid and no one is making it better.
Because of the annoying bits above I haven't gotten around to replacing my passwords even though I know how passkeys work now. I dunno if e.g. sharing a passkey for a shared Netflix login is possible if I'm on 1pass and my friends aren't. Maybe it works? More mental load making me want to delay.
Without a cooldown I mentally associate passkeys with that annoying prompt that never goes away even though I already have a password set up.
Also, it was not clear to me for a long time that passkeys didn't refer to e.g. something physical like a yubikey.
Either 1pass or the OS could know I don't have a passkey for this site and say "Passkeys are more secure than passwords and stored (on your device/in your vault)." 1pass shouldn't let the OS prompt appear. If I skip generating a passkey, there should at least be a cooldown period.
I have 1pass. When I hit a site that supports passkeys 1pass shows a box in the corner saying something like "Sign in with passkey" even though I don't have one set up. No explanation of passkeys.
When I _close_ that box via the X in the corner, the OS passkey prompt appears too???
of course. tucking
Having received so much love for our good old #MoonChild game, we are happy to give love back to the game community by releasing the Moon Child source files + assets.
Details can be read in the ReadMe text. We're looking forward to see what you're going to create! π

The first half of my career was spent trying to convince people that I was capable of more than what they were asking me to do and the second half has been spent warning people that I'm not quite capable of what they're asking me to do and imposter syndrome has nothing to do with this shift.
It is imperative to the health and souls of you and your coworkers to post as good as you can in the work Slack. Post like you just got an extremely dunkable reply from Sam Altman and are about to ratio him into irrelevancy. Post so hard that your VP checks in on you.
shit I'd do it for free. imagine roleplaying someone who gives accurate estimates. It'd feel amazing
