dreamed of the word "sauk", was impressed that I remembered it when I woke up so I decided to google it and:

@posterpitevent.bsky.social
Dr. William Savage, serial philanderer and professional heretic, is resurrected by his ex-wife and immediately cruises a sketchy foreigner. When the foreigner is revealed to be a spy from an invading country Dr. Savage gets drafted to control a beserker

they hate him for his media literacy and reading comprehension

I joked with my wife that if the pope excommunicates vance I'd become a deacon, and I'm getting kinda scared the lord might be coming to collect
doing this with gender war bait has been a wonderful way to keep myself sane
checking here once an hour or so for the sole purpose of seeing if it's happened yet, and then logging off
A dream come true! Rain's an incredible narrator and I'm delighted for my book to finally be out in audio & become accessible for more readers. Pre-orders are up now.
Thank you, Rain!
working on my second noise album. i got better.
When I broke my wrist as a kid I remember seeing a flurry of drs, and very briefly encountered this one woman dressed as a hippie with a lab coat and long gray hair. she examined my wrist with her fingers and it was somehow the most firm and gentle touch ever. i felt she could have healed me then.
I will however ask, rhetorically perhaps, if you are not an anarchist after today, what in the world is it going to take?!
I won't preach to the choir.
nope. the executive order trump made about npr/pbs was deemed unconstitutional. congress rescinded funding from the cpb which is still dissolved and without federal funding.
every day I sour more and more on the idea of hate watching/reading. There's more good stuff in the world than you'll ever be able experience even if you tried. And that's beautiful. And you spend your time reading the new york times and watching reality tv that you HATE? Get real.
new ring of roses album soon. i'm having so much fun abusing audio equipment
i wish i could still feel excited about space stuff
On this new episode of Writing The Rapids I'm joined by @shelleylavigne.bsky.social to talk about the ephemeral nature of indie lit, community vs friendship, body horror, smut and erotica, and more.

trans liberation yesterday
tr^ns day of scrutiny & surveillance.
of yet more allyship that ends at its declaration.
of punitive legislation.
of the endless, endless evaluative gaze.
of words meant to destroy.
today is a day i bring my grief & anger to the world, to transform them into fierce compassion, & help us live.
New episode of Writing The Rapids is out now with @charleneelsby.bsky.social! We discuss her new book Poor Damned Souls ( @merigoldindie.bsky.social ), it's always such a joy to talk to Dr. Elsby.

alright. we're getting somewhere
I'm not positive. I'll also add that if you work for corporate radio, you're almost certainly being monitored by someone above you at all points in time. I remember walking into a boss' office and he had like three stations playing. Once got a call at 3a from a station manager yelling about dead air
The FCC rarely monitors stations, so people have to complain to the FCC directly about profanity or whatever. The form is kinda buried and arcane, so you have to really wanna get a station in trouble.
starve them of oxygen. do something you enjoy. it's that simple.
well we got into the bandcamp account hooray! two of my three mixers are totally fried and the third I use for wtr sooooooooo shopping I guess
I guess unsurprisingly I'm almost certainly not going to be able to find a way back into the old ring of roses bandcamp account, so this might just end up being a whole new thing
It was my gateway into Steven Jesse Bernstein, I'll defend it to the death.
