I downloaded this app a while ago so I could see where the ships were going while traveling to the coast. All of the yellow arrows are container ships or cargo ships. The pic on the right is Seattle and Vancouver BC.The only ones entering the Juan de Fuca straight appear to be heading to Canada.

Congratulations to Judge Susan Crawford on her victory, and to the people of Wisconsin for electing a judge who believes in the rule of law and protecting our freedoms.
It is a great day to be a Michigan Wolverine! #GoBlue

HOLY COW!!!! GO BLUE!!!!!!
One year I had 131… when I had a 0.5 TOSA gig too. When we were on an A day/B day schedule my caseload approached 450. 😅
To be very clear, as a teacher I don't want "time-saving AI tools."
I want time.
100% this. I would love a tool to help me get through grading faster. But I need that tool because I had already have over 200 students. Even though that’s the smallest caseload I’ve had in years, I worry that an AI grading tool would be used to justify packing more students in my classes.
Spending a month on Bluesky has created a whole new model of a fight we need to be having right now. Not liberal vs. conservative or whatever, but respect vs manipulation.
I am tired of being manipulated everywhere I go. That’s why I like it here, I feel like I’m in charge for once.
I guess when it comes down to it, I want an AI to call numbers like the insurance company or comcast for me so I can do creative stuff. I don't want to have to haggle with an AI insurance or cable company agent and waste my time.
It worked. We just huddled around my phone while I let it call me. We interrupted it, asked it strange questions, and generally tried to throw it off. It responded rather well - so well we were a little unnerved.
A group of students and I just tried this out. We're not sure what to think about how good this seems:

yup! I have it on the big screen in my summer school classroom. :-)
Multitasking is awesome! I’ve got a summer school student designing a start and stop timer for a drone obstacle course in @scratch with a @makeymakey while Colleen Graves’ Scratch Con session is playing on the big screen!

That’s beautiful!
A couple students and I used the same concept at the start of the next year to introduce each grade level and staff team in our school entry way. It annoyed the people in the office after a day, but it was super fun!
I also did a whole class mural about 6 years ago with a 4th grade class doing a project on the Oregon Forest. We remapped them and gave each kid a letter as the start of their code. When it was done we stuck the project on a @raspberrypi.bsky.social so it would run offline. It turned out great!
I love that! For middle school Ss, It's an easy entry into making buttons on a breadboard. We have a ton of Microbits with breadboard hats. MMs are a great intro into using them.
Beautiful! You should definitely post a #bikesleaningagainstthings pic!
Sign me up!
I went from record 10 to chorus 12. Couldn’t justify the cost/weight difference ratio for super record. 😂
Day one of summer school and we’re already breaking out the makeymakeys to make better controllers for scratch games. This is going to be fun!

Sure is! I love that bike!
What’s your favorite s’mores variation?
Today’s ride.
Summer school starts in two days. Getting the miles in while I can.
Next time you’re in the Pacific Northwest… 😁
The Unger farm market didn’t disappoint today.
