My eyes are a gift

An illustrated poster for A Lovely Weekend comedy festival. A view into a dive bar, with a comedy act on stage, sentient disco ball throwing thumbs up and two speaker stacks with faces and legs. The audience is a bunch of hipsters, aliens and animals drinking beers and sodas and having a laugh. In purples, yellows and reds.

The excellent folks @alovelytime.bsky.social asked me back to illustrate the poster for this year’s Lovely Weekend festival!

The character excitedly peeks around d a laptop: 250 shops, all in one big online sale offering discounts on end of line, sample and seconds stock. So you can grab a deal (they hold up a pretty vase!) and support indie makers (they are being held up by cool makers) March 7th-8th (they pose chaotically with two shopping bags).

A copy of my new comic, titled My New Hobby Craves Violence. The cover is buff orange with a weird thorny, drippy plant weaving around the border. Main character stands central on the cover, holding a house plant and watering can. There are interior pages scattered behind the cover, all in green and black colours.
