Mr. Hatami had been arrested in connection with the January 2026 protests in Tehran and was later sentenced to death and confiscation of property by the Tehran Revolutionary Court. Earlier this week, he had been transferred to solitary confinement in Karaj’s Ghezel Hesar Prison.
