This is how I was guided to present to libraries.

It’s surprising complex.

Libraries are one of the very few markets for this kind of thing that want physical mail. But you also can’t really target a specific library. You mail to everyone in your driving range.

This is a long answer but.
I’m a storytelling magician (and I love maps). I hired a guy a year ago to really teach me about markets for magic and libraries were one of the markets I focus on.
I design hr long programs, build them on my website (only for library programs), and send postcards.

I do a lot of library programs. Anecdotally, a lot of librarians have gone out of their way to thank me for never emailing or calling.

I’m doing a friends and family for my ghost walking tour this month. And then full steam every weekend in May.
Should we guess how many will be canceled from rain?

I did a magic performance at a Seder today!
I offered to reenact the 10 plagues but they requested something else.

Have you been on a ghost walking tour? What did you like/dislike?

I was easily the hottest person in the grocery store.

Working with the city of Lowell to get permits for the ghost tour has a been so easy and a great experience.

Dealing with google, Wordpress, and every other online aspect of starting a business has been misery.

I’m this close to going full analog.

It’s a mill town so there are a lot of stories of people dying in work accidents and then haunting the workplace.

The goofy one is an actual documented report in city hall of someone seeing the ghost of Abraham Lincoln. I’m doing Mark Strivings the worry coin for that one.

Well. Permits for the walking tour are done.

I don’t know if it’s a good idea but I have a version of the tour that has bizarre magic at every stop. I love it. But will anyone else?

The D&D magic show I’m developing.
It’s part live play. I’m on a quest to find the thing. The audience makes decisions and rolls some big ole inflatable dice.
It’s part magic show. I play a wizard type actually casting spells on stage.
