Yes, that was also an issue during the Vietnam War. Boys could be drafted to go to war, but not vote, certainly here in Australia. The vote at the time was 21, and the draft was at 20. Thankfully the vote is now 18 years old. I doubt they would draft anyone younger.
Or talks about “gatekeepers” who didn’t buy their books. As a teacher librarian I always invited students to choose books from displays. And I bought books on request.

I have just discovered a YouTube channel which specialises in reviewing posh afternoon teas in London. Love it! I’ve only been to the Windsor here, several times.
I’m just glad that she wins. She made the best use of her money, but Western Chances gave her a lot of help too. I donate every year so that kids like her can win.
And is doing well. Acting is not an easy career, most actors are out of work most of the time. Not her.
So, last night I went to see a former student at the Western Chances Scholarship ceremony. I helped her get one several years ago and she was there for her alumni scholarship award. She emailed and asked me to come. So proud of her. She used her money to work towards her career. Now an actress.
