I have a few of these. Historical fiction. Usually the MC's are discussing something with their valet, and he is very good at making them take a second look...more to examine themselves than their cravats. 😏

Of course. Sometimes popping into a new project can give you a bit of a break. But make sure you try and keep on schedule if you have a due date.

I think it doesn't have to happen, but usually the mentor's words are remembered and treasured all the more if they pass away. Even more if they pass away for the sake of the hero. But...I think I wouldn't mind breaking the rule...maybe...
