At the moment there are two fixed points on our morning walk, the wall where I sit and rest my painful back halfway round and the hedge where #sophiefromromania stops for a good scratch

That’s what I’m planning to do. I think chat bots can be useful, but have their limitations and in the early stages when they are bedding in, you need to have enough staff to provide backup

Well, that’s the first time I’ve been welcome to the stage by a trumpeter! Great event at the Barnsbury book festival and gratified that many people bought my memoir #RuskinPark as well as my #sophiefromromania book

AI at the surgery - great until it's not A new way for the NHS to foul up patient communication

open.substack.com/pub/rorycell... Getting an AI bot to triage phone calls to my local GP surgery seemed like a great idea – but faced with a complex case it turned into another case of NHS communication failure

A beautiful morning and #sophiefromromania was in a frisky mood for our walk - a bit too frisky with some other dogs. Then we all got a #bigbreakfast whether we deserved it or not.

A serious question: is there anyone with a good ethical record who manages to be on good terms with Trump for a longer period of time or are the two mutually exclusive?

I somehow doubt that this was a targeted crime! It was actually a very cheap bike so it’s more a matter of inconvenience than the money

My bike was stolen from Ealing Broadway bike racks right under a CCTV camera - understand that the police can’t look at hours of footage for every theft. But how can I get access to the footage?

My bike got stolen yesterday and
I stepped outside this morning with #sophiefromromania to find the foxes had emptied our food bin all over the pavement but we’re trying to keep cheerful

In all the kerfuffle around having my bike stolen, I didn’t get round to putting up a picture of #sophiefromromania but here she is this morning on a decent walk with Goncalo and Juno

Infuriating end to a great afternoon recording two episodes of #moversandshakers - got back to the bike racks opposite Ealing Broadway station to find my bike had been stolen. Thief obviously not put off by CCTV

I know this is me still mourning a long dead world but it does feel remarkable that, not that long ago, British papers on the right would have run editorials and columns arguing that Hungary showed that only a solid, reliable centre-right party could defeat dangerous populists, but now? [crickets]

AI got the blame for the Iran school bombing. The truth is far more worrying LLMs-gone-rogue dominated coverage, but had nothing to do with the targeting. Instead, it was choices made by human beings, over many years, that gave us this atrocity

www.theguardian.com/news/2026/ma...

This is such an important essay (HT @jjn1.bsky.social ) about the dangers of blaming AI rather than humans for war crimes
