I'll have some work displayed at Office Space Gallery on Grand Boulevard for a little over a month. Opening this Saturday from 6-10. Here's a flyer and an image that'll be in the exhibition.

another one in the mailbox today, y'all
I think we could essentially fix public transit in Detroit if we took all the money Shri Thanedar spent mailing me things and put it into DDOT's budget
Go to this hardware on Sunday because it is open! Neat little (big) car, ha.
I think Detroit is mostly based on Michigan’s code (70+ square feet, fire egress window/door, 7-foot ceilings, heating source, etc.), so some of them are probably technically bedrooms.
But, yeah, the dance party and this little blip made me giggle. Thanks for sharing the article, I hadn't seen it.
This article is funny to me. They're going on and on about how it is so novel because it is a house without bedrooms. It isn't a fucking house then??? Like, what is this journalism? They didn't build a house. They built an office. Being rich must be fucking nice

Probably my favorite set of the bunch. I wish there weren't other cars in the parking lot, though!

Later ruled unlawful. From the Detroit Free Press in 2004, after the precedent was wiped clean. A similar use of eminent domain was attempted near Metro Airport, which caused a new case to overrule it.
Here's a before-and-after that shows highway construction and the erasure of 1,500 homes, 144 businesses, and 16 churches to create the GM Poletown Plant (Factory ZERO), where they currently make the EV Hummer. From my video on Beth Olem, circled in red. Just sickening!

Anyone caught doing this should have to wear a clown nose for their entire next shift. A big red one.
It's really hard for me to describe what this place made me feel like. It hurts my brain. I hope that, someday, this will be a massive park.
There’s a cemetery in Detroit/Hamtramck you can only visit twice a year because it’s stuck inside an active auto factory. This week’s video covers Beth Olem Cemetery, its origins over 150 years ago and one of Detroit's most controversial redevelopment projects. Check it out: youtu.be/NgztjJIOvuY
I've been wanting to do a piece on this one for ages
It’s over… it’s done…
