Work is play and play is work regarding art

The vile crap Elon Musk was posting about re riots in England + that arse - licking mutual masterbation interview with Trump are beyond what anyone should have to put up with so people are indeed leaving in droves - numbers are down. We will find our friends again if we coordinate and rebuild!

My 16 yr old son took this photo from a pier in South Australia a few weeks ago, Winter/early Spring there, fog, early evening.
It looks like an oil painting and I LOVE IT!!

Art connects with the world around us, it helps us to heal also and become inspired to ask questions and explore. โค๏ธ

I've had children go home and teach their adults how to do stuff. It becomes contagious, also a forum to share. When I coordinate exhibitions I get the children to be art ambassadors and gallery guides, introducing the art to visitors and explaining the skills and techniques. It's such a joy to see!

They need to get these opportunities and not just be given A4 paper and a pencil. Just as some are more confident with drawing, others are more confident with clay and sharing this gets everyone to learn how etc!

Thanks Marie and I will post alot of children's art here! (And some of mine too) I built a bit of a following on the other platform over the years so this is a fresh start.

Sadly you see a tightness develop as each child gets a little older. From age 9 I often see this start to happen - without regular opportunities to create and play, a child will begin to lose touch with all the benefits of problem solving, sensory development and visual vocabulary, same for adults

Totally. Mistakes and imperfections are what makes the creative process even more beautiful โค๏ธ

How could anyone forget? She lights up any platform the second she arrives. Michelle Obama is a legend and a true role model to anyone who wants to believe in better! DO SOMETHING! ๐ŸŽ‰

Ok so I'm trying Bluesky as that other platform I used to quite love has become a bit of a cesspit. Can't steer myself away as easily to the positive side as the vileness always pops up. So here goes with my first post! How about some children's art from my lessons ages 5 to 11?
