Was on weeb mode this week.
The most bad-ass rebuttal from Tite Kubo, the author of Bleach.

The new endeavor from Lord and Miller mostly worked, but i won't deny the somewhat hollow feelings that too came along with it. boxd.it/dPcr05
Cannot believe this story actually exists and i am so happy that it does.
and even parts of my own identity that have yet to be explored. And it's all because of a character who initially appears intimidating, but ends up being the one who carries the most love and empathy, wanting to understand not just himself but those he meets along the way.
When I look at Ichigo, I can't help but see so much of myself. Coming to terms with who you are is a journey i find myself struggling on a day to day basis, but at times I find myself more assured in my own identity and hoping to gain new insight into the world,
The more I think about him, the more he grows on me and ultimately makes me very emotional. A guy delving into this new world that opens his perspective, revealing parts of himself he never knew where there and coming to embrace them by the end.
And it all ties back to Ichigo Kurosaki, the man who best embodies everything about what makes this story click, and in my eyes, the greatest character i have ever encountered in fiction.
And while Bleach expresses these ideas on a more grander scale fitting for battle shonen, it does not take away the humanity of it all and it manages to still strike a chord even with the otherworldly presentation.
And those paths we take will expand as we grow and learn, and where we head afterward may be seem frightening at first, with time, this new journey becomes as much of a fundamental to our individualism.
Human life is finite, yes, but we have a choice in how said life continues on. We still have the power to be the authors of our own stories, selecting a path that furthers the goals we hope to accomplish as well as furthering our understanding of who we are as people.
So in a way, we can't avoid fate, yet simultaneously we can and all these negative connotations don't necessarily have to equate to making life more miserable.
Try as we may avoid it, despair is forever part of our lives. Moments of regression will come about and we will likely stumble towards our own progression, and death, something many of us fear, is inevitable. It is a fate beholden to us all.
The feeling that we have no autonomy over ourselves and merely proceeding the path layed down to us by those above, an author you could say.
To walk on the path of courage, you will undoubtedly face hardship. Moments of progression leading to moments of regression. The discovery of death, the fear it instills in us all and how desperate we are to avoid that fate, which is another fear in itself.

Transformers clean artwork by Go Nonaka featured in Newtype magazine March '87 issue. Image depicts a damaged Optimus Prime, seated next to a structure where the Autobots logo can be seen etched on the surface. He's missing his right foot while opening his chest reaching for the core. There's another Transformer on the left side, most likely a Decepticon, running towards his location and a futuristic city landscape can be seen in the distance in tones of orange and yellow.

"Just this once."
Yet another incredible season of JJK. Gosso will be missed.

Chainsaw Man ending was indeed something, which too extends to my overall feelings on Part 2. Asa deserved so much more man...
