I think a big part of the strategy for those of us who are white and citizens is to get in the way and get loud.

Local governments try to pass harmful policies? Get in the way.

Local schools try to get rid of DEI staff? Get loud.

And when ICE tries to abduct someone? GET IN THE WAY AND GET LOUD.

Black people if you already haven’t started. Collect as many Black history books as you can. Shield your knowledge because these devils want it gone.

You know, the world is dark but every once in a while you catch a glimpse of a dog just happy as can be trotting along with large stick bursting with pride.

And that helps a little.

Just for the record: my white kids arent afraid of learning about our complicated and not very flattering history. They’re good to learn Black history and our indigenous peoples history. We need to know that! We cannot do anything to correct the past but we CAN at least bear witness and move forward

And no, learning about Black and Native American history doesn’t divide us.
