Immigrants have always been a beautiful and important part of the American community. Here are 12 books celebrating friends and family who took a chance on a dream. We hope these books can provide a starting point to talk with young readers about what they’re seeing in the world around them (🧵1/3)

Look at this video: a *huge* crowd of Vermonters swaying alongside Mohsen right after he was freed, singing "We Shall Overcome"

Signs reading "Hands off our students" & "free speech" are peppered in between large Palestine flags

Started 𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗲𝘁, stuck in the 𝙏𝙤𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙚 later on. 1⃣ goal, 1⃣ point.

Sometimes there are bigger, more important things than football.

My goal today was dedicated to all my trans siblings, who’ve had an incredibly tough & heartbreaking week. You have all been on my mind and in my heart, you deserve so much more than what this government & society is giving you. I’m so incredibly proud of the trans existence within the queer community, and I’m proud of all trans women - you are women no matter what anyone says

Just one of the many reasons football will have a massive fight on its hands if it tries to ban trans women. Here's Man City's Kerstin Casparij, dedicating her goal today to trans people
