My Friend, Joe — Ryan McGill Photos It was warm when I saw him. Night and the street lights let off their glow that saturated the city in orange. We noticed each other and began talking. He told me he was homeless, which didn’t surprise...

Miss you, Joe.

There are concentration camps in the USA. People are being disappeared. One facility has 3,500 people, most of them children.

Now, what are we going to do about it?!

Everything of note I’ve ever written was with Philip Glass’ work in my ears. Profoundly grateful he still shows the strength his pieces always have.

Voting NO on the DHS funding bill is the bare minimum.

Backing Kristi Noem’s impeachment is the bare minimum.

Holding law-breaking ICE agents legally accountable is the bare minimum.

ICE is beyond reform. Abolish it.

I’ve decided, after many mornings of deliberation, to rewrite the book. Strangely, I’m excited and feel at peace with the decision.

Also, here’s a few pictures I took from our recent trip to Paris. Hope you all enjoy and have peace in your life. ❤️

Older work I did with Alfred. A friend in Knoxville, TN. www.rmcgillphotos.com/blog-1 — I’ve been on a long, sporadic hiatus from non-fiction, public writing. I’m also beginning a new era where I don’t predominantly use pseudonyms.

I met my favorite living author a few weeks ago. We got to chatting and at the end, he ripped his agent’s information from his notebook and told me to send my book. Now I hate my book and can’t stop finding small things to ‘fix’ Just send the damn thing!

As we drove further, the blooming flowers of the higher elevations, mountain laurel, rhododendron, burst into existence like some searing need for the earth to show its beauty. As if we should apologize for being amongst it all. --

Love varying lengths! I think if the thought feels complete and serves the story, the chapter’s length shouldn’t matter.

I love the exact part of writing a book where you’re just working on your weird little thing, it doesn’t have to be anything yet, it’s both a masterpiece and utterly formless in your head
