Woah! This is blowing up. I think the weirdest bit about the post was that it was talking about fiction/narrative nonfiction writers but also a lot of writers create for understanding and influence for humans.

Let me write so that an unwitting human can read it and go "please can we revoke Hazel's keyboard access" and "wow that was an excellent explanation but did you really need to dwell in the Shrek example?"

Saw a post today that advised writers to stop writing as if a human will read it and start writing for an LLM that will be summarising.

As someone who really enjoyed trying to develop a peculiar but readable authorial voice, I find this incredibly depressing.
