Hey, if you like adios, would you leave a review? We're SO close to overwhelmingly positive--literally ONE PERCENT away! If you liked it, it helps us make even better games because of how important overwhelmingly positive is to sales.

Save 30% on Metal Garden on Steam Travel through an overgrown megastructure, and discover what lies beyond it. Metal Garden is a short, atmospheric singleplayer FPS game.

I can't believe how much time has snuck up on me, but today is already one year anniversary of Metal Garden's release!

(It's also 30% off right now for the Steam Spring Sale!!)

Listened to my games soundtrack for the first time in what feels like at least a year.

Fuck it goes hard.
We’ve made something so fucking good.

I really hope to be able to bring the project back to the world some day soon.

Abandoning the ‘industry standard’ has honestly been a positive experience for me so far with software - Unity, Adobe, Autodesk - so time to take things to the next level. Bye bye Windows!

It will be a learning experience, and I’m currently looking at Zorin 17.3, as the latest release (18.0) needs to iron out some kinks.

As far as I can tell I lose no functionality or software that I would daily, other than toxic competitive shooters… which I maybe do not want in my life anymore!

The straw has broke this camel’s back when it comes to Microsoft’s handling of Windows.

My new plan is to migrate to Linux at the end of the year ahead of the release of the Steam Machine, which will be a nice upgrade to my existing kit.

We've been making a living so far on Caves of Qud this year; won't last forever, but nothing does, using the time to invest in the future! Wild stuff, totally outside of any imagination I ever had for the financial possibilities for Qud.

If I was to hype myself this update I would say I’m working on the biggest opportunity of my adult life and I’m very excited about that!

…If I was to be a little more modern pessimist I would just wonder aloud if I’ll ever get back to making games. Probably, but not soon.

Take that how you will!

Sinners invites a new bold business idea. What if people want to see movies because they like them and not due to a pavlovian response to being 12 years old once!?

Every April, we celebrate Independent Bookstore Day to remind us how vital indie bookstores are to our communities and society. It’s a day of joy and solidarity, and significant financial impact for these bookstores.

This year, Amazon is undercutting that with a “Book Sale” on the same day—a calculated move by a company that has already put half the bookstores in the country out of business, controls over 60% of the market and sells far more books than all indie bookstores combined. The people at Amazon responsible for the timing of their "Book Sale" should be ashamed, but they are shameless.

Man, this is a pretty fucking gross move from Amazon, huh? Good on @bookshop.org for not mincing words, though:

Has everyone forgotten the unit price for Switch carts? They are awfully expensive.

I can’t really fault developers cuttings costs in an easy area. People are comfortable downloading games these days. At least this can be traded or refunded.

Removing a black 4-star general at Secretary of Defense and replacing him with a white talk-show is the perfect example why DEI is essential. It's not about hiring unqualified minorities, it’s about foiling the majority's habit of hooking up under qualified mediocrities of their own caste.

Love how DuckDuckGo, a search engine I’ve been using for years to get away from the AI slop has, quite shockingly, added the AI slop.

Yes, it can be disabled but it’s still there and its results are less accurate than Google has been.

Sigh.

Almost 19% of Japanese people in their 20s have spent so much money on gacha they struggled with covering living expenses, survey reveals  - AUTOMATON WEST Results of a survey regarding the spending habits of young gamers in Japan have been revealed - here's how they spend their money on games.

Damn that’s even worse than I thought, and I already thought gacha models were super harmful.

This business model needs to be regulated as gambling, full stop

I feel if Bungie was to consult on Sony studio Bungie’s new live service game, Bungie would advise Bungie to cancel it.

But Bungie is pretty sure they’ve got the juice with Marathon. Time will tell!

I think PS5 prices have gone up for the second time in Australia?

I was only slightly interested before but with this pattern ongoing the 4 will be the last PlayStation I own, it seems.

Very much appreciate the office so home is actually home. I think what most people fear is the commute and the time lost there. A good little office can be lovely!

Finished Titanfall 2 campaign for the second time ever after beating it at launch.

Yes the game is absolutely as charming as they claim. Yes it deserves video essays for almost every mission, it is a thrilling masterpiece.

Trust me. 🤖

Alt Text: Floorboards are bathed in red light as if from a door, illuminating the front of a figure on their knees. The figure sits in the centre of a pentagram of candles, arms outstretched, mouth wide and face obscured. The flames from the candles billow in ribbons across the frame. The shadow cast by the figure is demonic with unholy limbs grasping painfully. Small singed cards float in the air around the figure. Text in the shadow reads ‘Malys’.

We need to have a serious conversation about the engineering choices behind these modern TVs that have a ‘gaming mode’ but it’s not a high refresh rate, no, it’s some kind of frame crunching soupy mess meant to make it more film like.

No gamer wants this.

The ‘summarise email’ button in Gmail is really starting to bother me.

Who is getting such extensive emails that they think an ELI5 version is useful? Aren’t most emails like three or four lines?

I dare not click the button in case it makes my email longer!

Mickey 17 was really cool, had a great time with it.

Meanders a little in terms of plot momentum, but the cast clearly had a great time with this movie.

Can Mark Ruffalo PLEASE continue in these sorts of goofy roles? Between this and Poor Things, I am LOVING his work right now.
