Like, if you have 10 people listen to one of your songs once a day, you'll hit 1k in ~100 days. if you have 20 people that really like your song, you'll hit 1k within 2 months (given they all listen to it once a day).

I'm sorry, I hate Spotify as much as the rest of you, but... 1k streams/year for royalties sounds rather fair (some would say even generous). Like, if you have any form of advertising, a small following (at least 10 people) and make a "good song", 1k in a year doesn't sound out of this world.
