he was so happy! i’m happy as well!

two long months later and my horse finally got the all clear for turnout!! i’ve never been so happy but oh my g o d was he covered in mud this evening

we are at almost two months of stall rest for my horse. he has reached peak boredom that during our hand walks he has to pull blankets down and toss them around along with holding his lead rope to walk himself.

i did not need to find out that the little old farmer passed away first thing this morning. he was the sweetest man and a staple for my entire life 😭

so far recovering is going good! he’s over stall rest and has to be on it for another month so we are dealing with that. he fractured his splint bone out in the field

update on this: he had his surgery and they gave me the pieces from his leg that they took out. so that was a fun little surprise!!

okay the fact that i have a calendar to help me keep track of my horse’s recovery and his allergy meds is impressive. i don’t keep my own life this organized
