I’m doing a quick morning-after rewatch of “Starship Mine” after last night’s #TNGSunNight. ( #TNGMonNoon?)

During Die Hard on the D 📽️©️, we missed that this is one of the few times after Beverly Crusher’s return that they allude to her brief sojourn in Starfleet Medical. (Also funny)

May I ask how? I’ve heard that—like TNG, DS9 and VOY—the CGI was lost to time. Did you get discs? Strim it?

Actually, I just realized what they’re doing here with the lighting:

On the de-powered Enterprise, the lighting is high-key, low-fill and chiaroscuro. At the dinner party on the station, there’s diffused sunlight, hence soft focus.

In my opinion one of the great moments in the series of TNG: Picard surveying the bridge before getting on the turbolift to escape a deadly sweep.

The music swells, and it is Picard alone and moving in silence, completely comfortable with being on the bridge of his ship by himself.
