Season 14 2002-2003

This was a surprise as it was a major jump in quality. There were some misses (Old Yeller Belly) there were a ton that were fantastic. Helter Shelter and How I spent my Strummer Vacation were my favorite.

Pleasantly surprising.

You know you have to get up early when you’re awake and at work before the daily morning burst of spam emails has hit the inbox.

Final day of tests before I am released to do my new job. My brain is basically cooked. I am looking forward to have this step done and I can get to doing the job.

So…tired…

Years ago I (thought) I was really close with all my coworkers. Spent a lot of time after work together, etc.

Wife threw a birthday picnic for me and invited them all. We almost cancelled because we didn't have money to throw a party but everyone said they were coming.

1 person showed up.

After a short stint with no desk or space to myself, I've carved out another corner of the living room.

While I do not regret moving to Seattle, I haven't felt "whole." Something was missing. I'm feeling the pieces fall back into place.

Only problem now is I have to be up at the asscrack of dawn.😂

I really should get up and start the day. But the family is still asleep and everything I have to do requires noise and moving crap around.

Maybe I’ll just go back to sleep.

The amount of cheese that consumed last night can only be described as “epic.”

We finally found an Italian restaurant nearby that is top notch!

Sadly, the inevitable heart disease will get me after we’ve been there a couple more times.

West Wing, Burn Notice, While Collar, Golden Girls.

I use an empty plastic container with thick walls for mine. Admittedly mine don’t have that cover but I would probably do that anyway to be safe. Currently I use old Metamucil containers and they work great. I’m always extra cautious with sharps.

I had one final licensing test that I took last Tuesday.

Now, I finally have some time to start learning DaVinci Resolve. Getting back on the content creation horse. (While also throwing off the shackles of Adobe.) Win-Win!

Just got home from the Super Mario Galaxy movie and it was fun!

Had a lot of references I liked and my kids loved it.

The criticism that it is soulless and without depth are a little puzzling to me.

I mean, it’s a kids movie based on a video game series about plumbers hopping on sentient shrooms.

I have been all over the world and one surprising fact is that there is pretty much universal consensus that America makes the best chocolate.

Another random aside that I noticed in the last 3-4 seasons of the Simpsons.

Smoking has almost completely disappeared. In every episode of the first 8 seasons there is at least 1 character smoking. Sometimes in a school or hospital. Now smoking is limited to specific characters. (Fat Tony, etc)

Season 13 cont...

It was another mid season (in every sense of the term...HAH!) Some fun episodes but I found myself mostly "amused" but very few laugh out loud parts. The episode I Am Furious was probably my favorite because of the Stan Lee cameo and Homer as the Hulk.

Season 13 2001-2002

(Essentially) the first post 9/11 season. The disaster happened a few weeks before the first episode aired. I couldn't see any direct influence in the season. That makes sense because they would have only had time to remove stuff at that point.
