I've heard the six-legged spiders are extra dangerous.

The front cover of the box for Spider Fighter for Atari 2600, by Activision.
The gameplay screen that shows up as soon as you start the game. There are enemies shooting bullets, and there are fruit in the upper right hand corner. It's Activision, and what you see is usually what you get it when it comes to their Atari 2600 offerings, but that does not make them bad by any means.
Try It Out Tuesday #432 is Spider Fighter for the Atari 2600. It's a game where you fight spiders on the Atari 2600. Seriously, that's all I got. #gaming #retrogaming #GamersUnite
ROFLMAO at the pearl clutching, sanctimonious, holier than thou, virtue signallers, whining and bleating and screaming about completely irrelevant nonsense. I don't care who owns Plaion or SNK. I only care about: build quality analogue output quality 100% accurate functionality and backwards compatibility will a flashcart work? Zero ***** given about anything else. I've got enough **** in my life to deal with without freaking out over who owns what. You dig deep enough, you'll find 100% of everything in your life tainted by something bad. The US and British empires both got rich off slavery centuries ago, and that money paid for infrastructure we use each day. You just gotta ignore it all and carry on without even thinking about it. I never think about it. I just hope these killjoys let the rest of us enjoy this games system in peace. And killjoy is the right word - they are literally killing the joy of everyone else. I'm buying one. And I will aggressively rebuke anyone who criticises those who buy it. I'm sick to death of virtuous tyrants finger wagging when anyone has some fun. Leave us the **** alone!
FYI here's his original thoughts on the issue before his comment was deleted by mods for being too inflammatory
... I'm sorry, but John Szczepaniak sounds like the folks who shout down trans people when we say "Hey you shouldn't buy Harry Potter shit because the creator's using their profits to eradicate trans folks"
Not buying a toy because the dude behind it is abhorrent is the lowest possible bar to clear

I'm at battle 60 of 77.
So don't worry, the FEDA spam will be over soon.
FEDA: Emblem of Justice
Magic Shield is a pretty broken spell.
Right now, my entire squad is laughing at high-level magic.

Also, as if this post, Ain has so much defense that everything only does a single hit of damage... and a 30% chance to dodge.
Sure, it's a game over if he dies, but FEDA for some reason made the juiciest bait a monster tank.
Normally, I'd expect Stinger to get killed after leaving himself vulnerable like this, but FEDA's enemy AI only cares to target Brian and Ain.
So yeah, sending a squishy unit to the frontline just to land a big attack is a valid strategy.
FEDA: The Emblem of Justice
He doesn't have enough MP to use it more than once per battle, but Stinger's special attack is a massive AOE blast. He just nailed 7 or 8 enemies in a single shot.
Kinda beautiful.

Yep. There was an adjusted Saturn remake.
It's untranslated, but maybe I'll give it a look after finishing the SNES game (about halfway through now).
As far as I'm aware this fan translation is the only one out there.
And... who knows? Maybe the heroes were in fact written to be equal parts edgy and horny.
I wouldn't put it past Climax Entert... I mean... Max Entertainment.
I have to play with my finger resting on the fast-forward key, otherwise battles take way too long.
The alignment system is also pretty busted. It's really difficult to avoid being aligned with Chaos when so many missions end in genocide. Thematically appropriate, but also not good game design.
NPC: "While you're killing the enemy, we'll debate political ideologies and draft a government charter."
Ain: "Do the initials F. O. suggest anything to ya, shithead...!?" (F.O. has to mean Fuck Off)
NPC: "W-Why... that's hostile...!!"
Ain: "Heh, 'hoss-style', dog-style, any-style, limp-dick...! Where ya hidin' the women....!?"
FEDA: The Emblem of Justice.
Ain the Wolfman has a way with words...

I like how different it is, particularly in its characters and story.
Map-design, tactics, and battle mechanics are all a step backwards though. I'd say the gameplay feels less cohesive and more one-dimensional than SF.
"Oh, Mildras Garz, mother of all creation... How many millions of our desecrated bodies and rivers of blood shall you devour?"
The intro featuring someone talking to a corpse is pretty great though.
Way too much...
why you love megadrive so much... too much...
The media's obsession with rural whites is goddamned pathetic.
Fuck off.
I'm powering through out of respect for the legendary Yoshitaka Tamaki, but man this game is rough. Fast-forward is basically required to get through the battles.
Shame the Saturn remake hasn't seen a fan-translation. It probably runs better.
Shane: "Suppressing people by force is not the only way!" ...and then he leaves.
Teita: "I might have offered to join your unit, but your emblem is WAY too 'righteous' for my tastes..."
Aria casts a Treat!! (healing) spell.
FEDA: The Emblem of Justice
1. Get used to seeing a black screen. Transitioning from battle animations to tactical map takes an obnoxious amount of time.
2. Shane leaves because we're too evil.
3. Teita won't join because we're not evil enough. Come on!
4. I need a Treat!!

Every battle is epic.
I saw the coolest car whilst I was out making deliveries.
I've been having a lot of medical troubles this past month so I'm putting all my games and soundtracks on sale this week to try to make up for the unexpected expenses

I appreciate any support during this tough time, and I hope you enjoy the games, thanks
This Peanuts comic from 1958 is straight out of a manga. The 6th and 9th panels. God damn.
Okay. I was not expecting a fight between Snoopy and Linus over his blanket to go this hard.
