Randall Abernathy Sr., 59, died Friday after his Harley collided with a Ford Escape at Nashboro Blvd. The driver, Elizabeth Hernandez, 70, reportedly turned right on red into Abernathy's path. It is unknown if Abernathy was traveling straight in a right turn only lane, or if he had the right of way.

David Elliott, 59, was killed Sunday when his truck was struck head-on by William Richards, 48, who overcorrected after drifting off the road. A third truck then rear-ended Elliott’s vehicle. Richards is in critical condition and faces potential charges. Three others sustained various injuries.

Leeann Julian, 47, was killed Monday in a multi-vehicle crash caused by a speeding Chevrolet Malibu. Julian was stopped for road construction when the Malibu struck her from behind, pinning her car against a box truck. The 27-year-old Malibu driver faces pending charges for reckless driving.

Jaylen Breveard, 17, died Sunday morning after his Tesla Model 3 struck a concrete pole and overturned in the 3800 block of Dickerson Pike. Breveard lost control around 12:30 a.m., crossing all lanes of traffic. He was wearing a seat belt, and police found no signs of impairment.

Yulonda Parham, 31, and Kanon Oldham, 27, were both killed early Sunday morning when a driver traveling outbound on Lafayette Street struck both pedestrians. The male driver pulled over and fled on foot. The female registered owner of the Lexus responded to the scene to aid in the investigation.

Tom Nunnery, 77, died Sunday from injuries sustained in a March 2 crash on W. Trinity Lane. Nunnery was crossing the road around 6 a.m. when he was struck by a Nissan Altima. The 23-year-old driver remained at the scene and assisted him. No impairment was reported.

Ray Padgett, 52, faces homicide charges after killing a woman in her 20s while driving a stolen F250 the wrong way on Murfreesboro Pike. Padgett, who has 20 prior felonies, rammed an unmarked police car before the fatal head-on collision. He is hospitalized with non-critical injuries.
