A few months back my wife and I decided to buy a little weekender on my Yuin country.
The change is already unbelievable.
Iâm so happy with the progress and to see mum every time I come down is just that added bonus.
Nothing beats being on country!

I was asked what was the difference in protest when I was younger to todayâs protest.
Back then a most of our protest was advancement of Aboriginal people and communities and equality.
Today we fight for justice, deaths in custodyâs, the continuous removal of our children, and the wrongdoings.
Amazing day in Canberra as the boys and I celebrated #ReconciliationWeek with the largest mob of people.
Respect is earned and not just given because one feels they have some kind of self labeled entitlement.
I donât care if youâre a male, female, black, white or whatever the colour of your skin is. If youâre young or old, I respect those who earn it and respect me.
Itâs really that simple!
Loving lifeâs beautiful struggles.
Stay deadly and keep smiling my đŚ friends.
Scary how me and my boss (The Commish) are always on the same page.

Today is National Sorry Day and for me it comes with great sadness.
One, for those Aboriginal children who was forcefully removed from their families and communities, and
two, for those that continue to be removed today.
Sorry normally comes with learnings.

Feedback my boss received today after I attended a national conversation about child trafficking and exploitation.
Very humbling however I would much prefer my voice be made redundant.
Itâs a difficult conversation I know, but we need to start the conversation because itâs an increasing issue.
Walk into the office and see Worksafe ACT supporting our local Sorry Day Bridge Walk.
Itâs sometimes the small things that give me hope.
Well done ACT Government on allowing all staff to attend this meaning deadly event today.
He wouldnât be alone in being sued for something alike.
I agree however I donât believe there is any arrogance at all.
Itâs all middle aged white bigoted arrogance.

I donât know this women but I do know racism when I see it.
Welcome to Australia. When we still judge people by the colour of their skin.

My life as an Aboriginal man.
If people find my empowerment and strength challenging, well that sits with them.
I will never be silent on the things that matter and are important to me.

Jayden Kitchener-Waters gives me hope. Please support this young leader as he has so much to offer our people and Aboriginal communities.
A heart of gold and a passion to make a difference.
Not all heroes wear capes!

Footage of an ACT Policing officer telling an Aboriginal teenager he "wouldn't have the guts" to "neck" himself has been condemned by the Territory's Indigenous children's commissioner, calling it a "deliberate incitement to an Aboriginal child to end his life".
I'll say it again, "The Aboriginal kids in Canberra are the forgotten and neglected kids of Australia".
The shit that happens in the Capital of Australia is mind blowing. It's about time we have a National voice on what is happening in the ACT.
We can't win this battle alone!

When Aboriginal Young People hit over 40% of the youth prison population then things need to seriously change.
We canât keep doing the same thing and expect to close the gaps in the ACT.
There are things I said and done years ago that I wouldnât dare to say and do today.
Thatâs not me having double standards or being a hypocrite.
Thatâs just me learning and growing. Oneâs never to old to learn.
I agree, the ABC called out for her contribution to yesterday catastrophic Liberal disaster and like you I believe the party wonât forget.
The problem in Aboriginal Affairs is that politicians continue to listen to the same (white cloned) black voices who fail us.
And the is on both sides.
Yesterdayâs election demonstrates that a vote against the referendum wasnât necessarily a racist vote.
Donât get me wrong many racist voted no.
But I take hope in that I strongly believe that yesterdayâs election was a vote for multiculturalism and closing the gap.
Letâs be clear and call it out as it is, Australians believe the Liberal Party is a racist party.
The Liberal Party have for ages been the party against multiculturalism and supporting Aboriginal people.
Yesterdayâs Australia was a vote for multiculturalism and closing the gaps.
Based on this outcome they know they have two terms at least. Labor doesnât need to do much at all this term.
The Northern Territory need their own David Pocock or start focusing on getting blackfullas to vote.
With One Nation still receiving 9% of the vote itâs evident job ainât voting like they should.
To Dutton, Jacinta and all the other racist Australians,
On behalf of me and many Aboriginal people across the land,
Welcome to Country and welcome to a Multicultural Australia.
Looks like Dutton himself is gone. Donât let the door hit ya on the way out and take the house blackfulla with ya please.
Only because Iâm sick of welcoming dumb arse racist white people into our country too.

Selling snags to raise funds for âEssentialâ equipment at an election poll.
I am sure we both now how sad that sounds hey.
Even more so with Labor being the incumbent.
But it could be worse, we good be voting for a party that wants to make America great again.
Ok, you won me. đ
