Look, I know it's tempting to bask in the schadenfreude of it all.
But we need these people. We need them to understand that they were conned.
We shouldn't laugh at them. Or say "I told you so" or whatever about leopards.
We need to be gentle, and understanding, and explain how they were duped

I only recently started following you and I am amazed at how consistently you write. Has that always been a habit or something you've worked to build up over time?
The more you've accomplished…
…the less judgmental you are of others, because you know the struggle?
…or the more judgmental you are of others, because you know best?
C’mon, you know the answer. Now be kind.
When all you have is a hammer, everything looks like Kubernetes
It's TDD, Dan. Test driven disturbance
A speaker announcement card showing that Ben McHone is going to be presenting at Arize: Observe 2025 on June 25th, 2025.
I'll be speaking at Arize:Observe at SHACK15 on June 25! Looking forward to exploring what’s next for AI agents & assistants. More details on my session to come. @arize.bsky.social

We had a standoff in our backyard between a grackle and a sparrow about an hour ago. The sparrow won FWIW

Thank you! I have no idea how I haven't seen that type yet.
Is anyone aware of some more complex examples? The thing I'm still not sure about is how to handle chat history. Coming from langchain, this has always been just a part of my chat template.
Finally getting a handle on #DSPy for simple use-cases! I've even built out a module or two.
Built this today to understand better how a few of the optimizers work under the hood:

Learning about data frames for the first time. This is done pretty nifty tech! Is pandas really the way to go or should I be looking at Polars/other newer libraries?
I've been working through the old Advent of Code problems and must say that 2019's intcode problems are my favorite so far! Currently sitting at 468/500 stars! I'll finish up 2019 tomorrow and then I'll just have a few days to finish up between 2018 and 2021!
@was.tl 10 more years! 🎉
I think the library has a ways to go before we see wider spread adoption when compared to langchain and the like, but I can see the path! The only thing I'm wishing for is a true multi-turn chat adapter. LLMs can only be told about so much context without "experiencing" it through the conversation.
I continue to be impressed by how #DSPy so elegantly removes prompt engineering from my workflow and makes LLMs feel like a universal API.
Even better, the optimizers are built in TDD (really, metric driven development)
What is everyone using for a webcam these days? I don't want to go all-in with a camlink setup and a mirrorless camera, as I'm realistically only using it a couple of days a week, but I'd like something that doesn't look like my face is RIGHT THERE when it's silling on top of my monitor.
#Severance season 2 had a great ending. I've never hated half of a fictional character before
It's exciting to see more multi-agent examples on GitHub! It's a bit validating to see we've all written some of the same helper functions to deal with common hallucinations 😁
I've been loving all of these videos and notebooks! Out of curiosity, why do Arize demo videos tend to use gpt-3.5-turbo instead of the more recently released 4o-mini? Do you find 3.5 to excel in certain areas beyond 4o-mini?
It's quite a rabbit hole, but you can programmatically define your models, check out OpenSCAD. It's wild to be writing loops, functions, etc to do 3d modeling!

One of the best things about golang is that it's a compiled language that is laughably easy to comprehend and to compile. I pulled down the typescript go repo and had it built and running against my local projects in under 5 minutes. It's a toolchain that just works!

Sliced tomahawk steak showing an internal temperature that is medium rare
I saw that my local grocery store had tomahawk steaks in today. I've always wanted to try one but haven't had the opportunity. We picked one up and threw it on the smoker. Easily the best steak I've ever had! 🤤
I, for one, couldn't be more thrilled that DeepSeek open sourced their methodology. Knowing that Qwen released a 32B model close to or on par with DeepSeek'a 671B model is amazing. Bring on the continued renaAIssance!
What temp are you printing at? You need to treat it like PLA from a temperature perspective but go very slowly. I think I maxed out at like 40mm/s
I watched this the other day and it has made me realize that DSPy is a much bigger deal and that I should be paying attention to it 🙂
Such a cool library!
TPU is an underrated material! I printed a door stop for the office after getting annoyed with the off the shelf version stopped working. It's still working years later on a fairly heavy door
Which printer did you get? I've been meaning to get a newer printer. Mine is from 2019 and the new features have been really tempting! These prints look great
