Do you rely on GitHub-hosted runners or self-hosted runners for your CI/CD?

3 weeks ago 0 0 0 0

AI is a huge boost for learning. While exploring CI/CD, ChatGPT helped me target and fix specific gaps without the usual tutorial chaos.

thinking of adding CI/CD to my side project @lazyplanner since i have to manually push/pull changes. not a big deal because i already have a script to automate most of it but i also want to learn more about CI/CD so it's a good excuse.

okay i added a subdomain as reverse proxy. this will makes it very hard for adblockers with default rules to block these analytics.

also tested it on brave and brave's adblocker blocked most posthog scripts except the ones i proxied.

frontend dev was having issues because of multiple cmd so i dockerized the whole project so it will be just one cmd run. I also wanted to replicate prod env instead of testing everything in production.

Aerospace ( a tiling window manager ) + VS Code ( vim mode ) is one of the best combination i have tried so far.

okay, so i now i hit the limit of adding any new rich feature in task management tool because of it's synchronous architecture. was using polling + other mechanism for better UX.

now it's time for switching to channels & websockets.

Building SaaS is all about starting small, learning fast, and iterating smart.
What’s one SaaS idea you’ve been thinking about?
Let’s discuss below! or feel free to DM me.

6/ If you’re a founder struggling to launch or validate your MVP, share your challenges below.

I’d love to brainstorm ideas or offer advice to help you move forward!

5/ Remember:

A good-looking landing page and a high-conversion landing page are not the same thing. Always prioritize clarity and usability over flashy designs.

4/ Landing Pages Matter:

Your app is only half the battle. A clear, well-designed landing page with strong CTAs can boost conversions.

✅ Highlight benefits over features.

✅ Keep the design clean.

✅ Avoid cognitive overload.

A good landing page = users take action. 🔑

3/ User Feedback Drives Growth:

Your first version won’t be perfect—and that’s okay!

Launch early, then let real user feedback guide your improvements. Tools like Hotjar & Google Analytics can help you understand user behavior and iterate better. 🛠️

2/ Simplicity is Key:

Your MVP isn’t meant to do everything. Focus on solving the core problem and include just enough features to validate your idea.

Adding too many early on can overwhelm users & delay launch. Keep it lean, ship it fast. 🚀

Building Impactful Web App MVPs

1/ As someone who was building MVPs for startups as part of my job, I've learned a lot about what works (and what doesn’t).

Isn't this better to provide a button, so users can have a better time scrolling ur website.

I was learning about copywriting stuff & realized contact forms can create uncertainty for clients if they're unsure about our response.
To address this, I added a line clarifying that I respond to messages within 1-6 hours.
