"Socialism vs. Capitalism" is a diversion designed to keep us fighting while the vault is emptied. The Founders promised something better: the attainment of Ease, Comfort, & Security—the true "Pursuit of Happiness". Candidates need this blueprint for True Americanism. 🇺🇸 TrueAmericanism.org

The Founders listed 'Standing Armies without Consent' as a crime of King George. In 2025, ICE detention expanded 91% while arrests of people with NO criminal record surged 2,450%. Congress was denied access to facilities. This isn't border security—it's tyranny. TrueAmericanism.org

A billion dollars = 25,000 years of human labor. One person. 25,000 lifetimes. That's not success. That's extraction. The Founders had a word for that level of accumulated power over your fellow citizens. They called it tyranny.

Madison, 1792: government must use "the silent operation of laws" to "reduce extreme wealth towards mediocrity, and raise extreme indigence towards comfort." The Father of the Constitution. Not a radical. Not a socialist. A Founder. #TrueAmericanism

George Mason wrote that government must provide no less carefully for the happiness of the lowest than the highest citizens. He authored the Virginia Declaration that inspired Jefferson. He refused to sign the Constitution without a Bill of Rights. History buried him. Remember him.

George Mason wrote that government must protect the happiness of the lowest citizens as carefully as the highest. He was directly influenced by John Adams’ Thoughts on Government. His Virginia Declaration then inspired Jefferson’s in writing the Declaration of Independence. History forgot him.

You cannot have political liberty without economic justice, and vice versa. And you cannot have either without power — which, in the end, is force. That's not cynicism. That's why the Founders put the Second Amendment right after the First. Speech without teeth is just begging. TrueAmericanism.org

A billion dollars isn't "earnings." It's 25,000 years of human labor — extracted, crystallized, and controlled by one person.
That's not success. That’s theft. That's a small town's entire working lives in someone's pocket.

I didn't want to end up here.

But the Founders dragged me.

Ease. Comfort. Security. Adams said that's what happiness means — and he was in the room when Jefferson wrote it.

I wrote down what I found.

Medicare-for-All is insurance of, by, and for the people. The "Pursuit of Happiness" is a cruel joke when one diagnosis can bankrupt a family. For-profit insurers collect billions not to heal, but to deny care. M4A isn't a departure from our founding principles—it's the fulfillment of them.

John Adams, 1776: The best government is the one that provides "ease, comfort, and security" to the greatest number.
That's not socialism. That's the man who put Jefferson forward to write the Declaration telling you what "Pursuit of Happiness" actually meant.

I've done enough damage here for one day. Yes, self-deprecating humor is a beautiful way to keep people at arm's length.

Be kind to others, and be kind to yourself. Everyone is fighting battles you know nothing about.

In the wealthiest nation in human history a diagnosis can be a financial or real death sentence, because insurance companies extract profit from pain by denying care. Adams called for Security. Jefferson called for Life. The Founders called both unalienable. It's why we must demand Medicare for All.

Adams defined government's purpose as Security for every citizen. Jefferson called Life unalienable. Neither man envisioned a corporation standing between a dying patient and their doctor — extracting profit from pain. They would have called that robbery.

The MAGA influencer meltdown continues—this time with big-name influencers saying they think Trump staged his assassination attempt in Butler. These people are deeply, deeply unwell.

What if the "Pursuit of Happiness" wasn't vague Enlightenment poetry—but a specific, concrete mandate for economic security?

What if the Founders were more radical than either party wants to admit?

I spent months in the primary sources. Here's what I found.

Capitalism vs Socialism is a false choice invented after the Founders died. Jefferson never said capitalism. Adams never said socialism. They said General Welfare. Ease, Comfort, Security - in a word Happiness, to the greatest number. Stop fighting over their labels. Demand their outcomes.

The 'Pursuit of Happiness' in the Declaration has a definition. John Adams wrote it in 1776: ease, comfort, and security. You were never taught that. Ask yourself why.

In October of 1785 Jefferson wrote Madison that enormous inequality produces misery, and proposed exempting the poor from taxation while taxing higher wealth in geometrical progression as it rises. That's not socialism. That's Jefferson. In a letter. To Madison. Look it up.

Thomas Jefferson to James Madison
October 28th 1785. Exempt the poor from taxation entirely. Tax the wealthy progressively as wealth rises. His words. His idea. His Republic. Next time someone calls progressive taxation socialism — remind them which Founding Father proposed it.

Liberty without Security is just the freedom to starve in the cold.
Security without Liberty is mere subsistence - the life of a well-fed prisoner.

Hamilton wanted the luxury of the rich to fund the public treasury. Instead we invented "buy, borrow, die" — a system where the ultra-wealthy pay nothing and leave the debt to us. He'd have called it what it is. Theft.

Concentrated wealth redefined the 'Pursuit of Happiness' as rugged individualism. John Adams meant ease, comfort, and security for every citizen. The rewrite wasn't accidental. It was profitable.
