we are returning to our lab in Leuven with fresh ideas, a lot of team spirit, new inside jokes, and a few remaining axioms still waiting to be formulated 🍜🥗
We wrapped up the retreat on a high note, inspired by one of our wisest team members:
“If you think of something, think again.”
Between cooking together, playing board/card games, singing and dancing, a legendary challenge night, spirited debates, and a beautiful hike, followed by pancakes and hot cocoa,
The GestaltReVision Lab spent the past week diving deep into our research projects, exploring connections between our interests, and learning from one another.
Our annual retreat isn’t just an investment in scientific growth, it’s also a reminder that great research is built on strong teams.

Very pleased to share that our article on preferences for complexity at different levels of order is now out in PACA! 🎉Not all types of complexity were appreciated similarly, but all were liked better under high order!
