Yeah, I think that's the big difference. A lot of these people might be coming from a place of protecting themselves, but just going about it in a poor way.

(Though of course, some are just buttholes. Can't really help those.)

As someone who's had to mute a lot of people for talking about and RTing politics: I get it. A lot of us go online to escape that stuff. But yelling at people for venting about it is also no good.
