I was lucky enough to see her play in San Francisco a couple of years before she passed. She was amazing!

Are you still supporting the Nazi tattoo guy who worked for Blackwater?
Gorgeous shot!
Shoot. To Kill a Cook that is.
Book cover for To Kill a Cook by WM Akers. Orange background with black silhouette of a chefs knife, fork, icepick, and corkscrew but the handles look like lit up skyscrapers. There are also lighter orange aroma lines and a skull with a chefs hat.

Really enjoyed The LA Times Festival of the Book today, especially the panel with @nnedi.bsky.social this afternoon. Always cool to see a favorite author in person.
We used to live like a block from the race course but we're further away now so it feels like we have a couple of hours before the killer bees attack rather than it being imminent.
I've missed the LA Times Festival of the Book for years due to cross over with Record Store Day and Long Beach Grand Prix making it hard to leave town. But I think I'm going to go for it tomorrow. At least it'll be a day with music and literary noises in the background instead of revving engines!
no one likes historians because every time someone says โoh this is unheard ofโ
historians are all like โwell actuallyโ
and fundamentally it just doesnโt sound as impressive if you have to say
โin these slightly precedented timesโ
That would be horrible.
Plus the whole election was rigged thing when she lost to Schiff.
I lived in Cape Town for a little over a decade and I feel like having a mountain in the middle of town visible from most everywhere really boosted my general quality of life.
Hearing from a lot of folks. It means the world to see our support continue to surge.
We're going to make the California Dream real for all of the hard-working families who call our state home. Are you ready to fight alongside me?

I don't know what high school you went to but the people in knew didn't have a problematic phase when they were young, much less when they were full adults.
I never knew why but he always gave me the ick. I was still holding the threw Biden under the bus grudge but there was something deeper that unsettled me about him.

Iโve known Xavier Becerra for almost 25 years and worked with him in Congress and the Biden administration.
He is smart, committed and has the experience and outlook to be an outstanding and effective Governor! I hope the folks in California will take a look!
I did too. Ours is a block away and has the best pupusas and tamales.
Todayโs a great day to get to know more about Xavier Becerra, the most qualified Democrat currently running for California Governor. www.xavierbecerra2026.com
It was really weird, but I enjoyed the ride.
Good instincts are a useful thing to have.
It's from Peep Show which is a tv show. Not the movie she was referencing just a relevant gif featuring a totenkopf.
His friend said he referred to it as a totenkopf. He knew exactly what it was.
When Swalwell announced for governor I quietly told my husband that I didn't know why, but he kind of gave me the ick. I figured it was unfounded but now I wonder if I just have good instincts.
*whispers* maybe we should vote for women.
My 5th grade teacher was on the short list for the Challenger and got all of her students excited about space. That one hit really hard.
