what if you could navigate unicode characters by visual similarity?
frustrated, you leave twitter and turn on MSNBC. but 80% of its programming is now about big pants. so you open the new york times and it too is just about how you should wear big pants. you watch the new paramount film and every character is wearing the biggest pair of pants you've ever seen
tell me your grocery chain has KPIs for AI integration without telling me
also made a little loop of the new logo even though it's not new. i just really like it :)
and I've added the custom wiggly visualizer to both sites now (afk.show)
for the subscribe menus, I'm using variable type for a neat hover effect
taking the time to isolate a few details from the work I've done on the DN and AFK sites recently.
I love the "could this be a solution" post because it's a perfect example of Founder brain. You have to be a special kind of stupid to imagine that you are the first person to come up with the idea of driving around the Strait of Hormuz. It's being so dumb that you think everyone else is even dumber

Using "putting the genie back in the bottle" as an explanation for why something's inevitable is so funny to me because isn't the bottle their house

here's what I mean with the list: inspired by material expressive lists, the shape treatment suggests one list rather than a series of discrete cards.
wait, I almost forgot! the site now has picture-in-picture support (on Chrome at least) so when you navigate away from the tab you can still control the audio!
Update: The wavy audio player's amplitude now responds to the audio being played. Also moved all platform/share links into the radio button, and updated how episode cards are shown so they look more like a connected list :)
not sure exactly how to explain this but I think the narrative of ai hype is rhetorically like the shepard tone.

In a new ep, I spoke with my friend Louise Macfadyen about her upcoming book, “Designing AI Interfaces.”
We cover a bit of computing history, why the text box might be holding us back, and how to design honest interfaces in an era of hype.

just one more layer of abstraction bro I swear one more layer of abstraction will make it work
what you want is an MCP. oh wait have you tried installing a skill? no you don't have an agents,md file. actually what you want is a plugin. have you tried agent orchestration? you have gotta try hooks.
putting up some new work today 🧑🎨
I would read (and probably reply with) that blog post!
New from 404 Media: the FBI has been unable to get into the iPhone of raided Washington Post journalist because the phone had Lockdown Mode enabled. Apple markets Lockdown Mode mostly to stop spyware like NSO. Here, a real world example of it stopping access too www.404media.co/fbi-couldnt-...
